Hendrix was definately a major influence with John. He mentions him in almost every interview. His playing reference is Hendrix. He has learned guitar through hendrix. He is waaay underrated. I believe his playing is on par with Hendrix, his idol. Or even better in some cases. He absorbed all that before he became a rock god at 17.

John Frusciante is a guitar artist and he has a special connection to his guitar, he adapted many influences and certainly created a kind of uniqueness to his play. A mixture between Eddie van Halen and Hendrix maybe. What he and Hendrix have in common is a rawness with the guitar, which is a quality other accomplished players are lacking. But Hendrix took guitar play to another level artisticly, he practicly reinvented guitar play. Whereas Frusciante fall back to flashy manouvers and relativly simple funky/punky licks, Hendrix had many more expressions and variety to off, just much, much more to say on the guitar generally. He did things on the guitar that no one is able to truly recreate, whereas Frusciante licks are fairly easy to handle.

Thank you :)
Que grande sarmiento
Can’t wait to hear the new stuff
Same really looking forward to it :)
John Frusciante’s sex appeal is astronomical, isn’t it? 😂 He doesn’t even have to try, does he?
I'm straight and all but John makes me forget my sexuality sometimes 😂
White jimi hendrix lol 🤣
Pretty much :)
Can't wait for June 2022 x
Same :)
No doubt that man is the best guitarist in the world 💯! And that's coming from a Randy Rhodes fan!
Awe 333 means love
You forgot the clip when Frusciante completely outshined Anthony on under the bridge.
On SNL
@@joshuacobb3923 Yes
I love that clip :)
@@joshuacobb3923 Yes, the way the whole band started soft and built the intensity is incredible. John's guitar tone was amazing when he kicked in the distortion. Then to top it all off he sings notes so high and powerful, it's incredible and very soulful.
People say it was a bad performance but idk why if your a true rhcp/John can you would think it's great
Just a lot of energy when into that performance :)
"... for 3 Minutes and 33 seconds."
Video: 3:32
Me: *disappointed*
Sorry :(
So under rated
I beg to differ. I don't get the Frusciante hype. Like at all.
And don't get me wrong. I totally dig RHCP...
He's like marmite you either love him or hate him :)
🙌🙌🙌 when you listen the guitar sounds that create John...the world stop it.
😎👍
😎👍
Love this man !!!!
4 ever not only for 3 n'half minutes
If You Have to Ask from Off the Map, nuff said.
:)
Does anyone else see 333 everyday?
Wow so cool
Very Nice 👍👍👍👍👍
Ala TE AMO JOHN
1:27 woooooow
DON'T FORGET ME!
Pure pentatonic wankery.... Nah i'm joking. He's very good
Hahaha he is 😂
Kirk hammet crying
Every member of RHCP is guilty of wankery. That's their whole shtick.
@@charliedillon1400 , dude what? Ever heard of Dream Theater? THAT is wankery. This is just "music".
Yea, he’s good. But a guitar god? Naaaa. There’s been very few of them. Very few…..
Everybody always compares Will Farell and Chad but has anyone ever noticed that John Frusciante could be an Owen brother? C'mon SNL! Get on that shit!
