When she said “I don’t care”, I would think that she didn’t care about me at all. When she said “You’re so ugly”, I thought that she meant that I actually was ugly. When I confronted her about this, she said that she “didn’t care” and I when I said that I was serious, she said “yea but I still don’t care.” Please, get this so that everyone will see it. Don’t be mean to other people. Don’t say that they “are ugly” and that you “don’t care” about them. It may start as a joke, but when it goes into the heart it really isn’t a joke anymore. And if you and someone you know joke about this, make sure that it’s just a joke to them too. And if they say that it’s not a joke to them, respect that. It’s not fun when a best friend suddenly makes you feel bad about yourself.
I have a best friend and yes we make fun of each other’s looks for fun we’re not trying to bring each other down already after 7 years of friendship and if she told me that it was bringing her down I would understand and respect that not be rude
Oh my god, I relate so much. I have a best friend who I actually have a crush on. We joked about each other being ugly and stuff but soon it didn't really become a joke to me. It really hurt. I never confronted her, I'm too scared. When I said something everyone in my friend group would cut me off or say shut up. I soon started to get higher anxiety levels, and wasn't able to sleep. Even if I looked so tired nobody, I mean NOBODY said something. We wouldn't even ask each other if we were having a good day or anything. I was really jumpy and any little insult would actually break me. But, I did start having doubts about her not liking me because when she accidently pushed me too hard in the stomach and my nose started bleeding she went with me to the nurse, I could tell she was concerned even when she didn't show it. It genuinely made me laugh on my way to the nurse. We haven't talked in a while due to her being grounded.
Me and my classmates/friends, we started this thing where we call each other "YOUR UGLY" when we're in an argument. It's technically the only insult we could think of, back then. Everyone knew it was as a joke, though. They always laughed, or sometimes they said back,"I'm beautiful, your eyes are probably just not working." When that person said that, my classmate/friend who said 'Your ugly', starts fake crying. If your thinking of tears kind of way, no. They were crying like, "HUAH HUAH *sniff* I'M SO SAD-" But then they burst into laughter. But also, we only say your ugly when our teacher is not around.. I got in trouble once. I'm never doing that again.
