- We brought the prentice over to this job to slash some logs. The prentice usually runs with the new chipper but they are able to chip without it for a couple days. Logs are starting to stack up. Hopefully in a couple days the Barko will be back up and running.
just look at it!
i watch both your channels ( chipper's and yours), nice to know you're watching each other's as well..merry xmas to you all, take care ! Cheers from Canada
Is that a Corduroy Road you folklaid down? Haven't seen one used for a while.
Got ye old prentice runnin is it a loaner or did Mike buy another one til the old one is fixed , looks a lil drier than before , great video john
From the other crew (they are running two chippers and two slashers)...think the Prentice is newer than the Barko?
rolandgsl that’s good that you can borrow from the other crew to continue processing wood hope you guys have a great productive week
My joints squeak about like the second exhaust bolt when I roll out of bed this time of year. Maybe I should keep a torch bed side to warm em up good first?
Stack em high!
I try welding a nut on the broken stud before going straight to the drill
By the time you get the Barko up and running you may get another 5+ years out of her, just keep rollin'
If I didn't know better I'd say you gave Josh a 12pack of mountain dew in exchange for driving the slasher off the road so you could make sweet youtube vids repairing it. But I know better than that.
big john to the rescue, big bad john.
It amazes me the drastic difference in how wood is harvested based on location. Im in NW Pennsylvania and around here loggers cut trees with a chainsaw and drag them out with smaller skidders with winch and chokers.
If you heat that bolt white hot , then cool it down with water ,snow or ice it should come out easy ! The squeeking indicates that it can break , so reheat and repeat !
If you heat it up and spray a little aerokroil or pblaster on it, it will pull the oil right into the threads.
shut down for broking bold use a welder not a drill just say
never mind about a welder it a master job
So far, so good! Prayers, BLESSINGS and Goomerish Younguns 2 hug!
I've never seen a self-driving trailer mounted log loader before 🤯🤯🤯😎😎😎
Wow you guys could make your own matting to sit those on so you don't sink into the mud while working there but nope, let's just make it harder on the equipment and yourselves.
Always did hate to work in a muddy wet sloppy mess but the folks at the bank don't feel a thing. Money has to be made know what I mean....... Good thing about that rig is if your tail (saw) gets out of kilter just swing around and grab it and put it where you want!
I usually forget to put the gloves on, and then I forget I've heated the bolt and surround. You know what happens then.
Exhaust Studs can be a real challenge .
Sunce ti ogrijano kakva skalamerija !!!!
Must be a logger thing " no patience" I have very little to none
Big john looks brand new next to the Barko
dig them slashers !
That looks like a spark plug socket
John does that one have anti upsetters on it
fire wrench !!!!
Mmmmm crusty and rusty
Nice work getting her fixed back up. Shes got a few years left in her on another note.
What would it take to buy those logs? I
💰 💰 💰
Getting it fixed a little bit at a time, good for a few years more
I like the BFH.
So besides price are there any advantages to one of these trailer (self propelled) loaders that a track machine couldn't do better?
I assume a tracked loader would have just picked the slasher up and walked in to set where ever you wanted. ...and they have brakes!! (too soon? :D)
and way easier to place swamp mats with
I love it when a plan comes together. 😂. as always great video bud. stay safe out there and take care fella.
