OMG!!
"What you going to ignore me even though you're hungry boy? Even though that light bill due & the water bill too?" I'm sure this didn't speak to everyone but when you know you know. The struggle is real.

One of the greatest pieces of our generation. It encompasses an aspect of a community that most people wouldn't notice twice. It is culture.
It is truth. It is survival. One of the best. Forreal

The title drew me in. The performance knocked me over with its power. Damn.
A message only a few could understand

"Im the rock in that roll." That was the line that made me smile. This was an amazing piece. This was really nicely done. Inspired the spoken word artist in me to do better
"Give them "bricks" so they can build something of themselves".

WOW holy shit this was incredible! Not only were the words painfully honest and beautifully woven together but the performance made it something so much bigger than just words on paper. He captured what so many go through. He shone a spotlight on the shadow that whispers to all the men and woman who have worked their hands raw and still have the strength to turn away from the slippery slope waiting around every corner. Thank you for this gift. I'll be keeping an eye out for Steven Willis from now on!
