🙏 this song and Station are partners on the record - Station is a love song to happiness, yearning for it to return, and Basis is a love song to Depression. Its the result of the odd duality of the relief of depression leaving, and the somehow wanting it to come back. Depression sometimes can seem to define a depth in one’s personality that can be scary to lose, and that’s where this song is coming from.
