Thank you Brit and Josh for sharing your IVF journey so sorry to hear the news. You guys did great with the tree and made me smile that you named it Myrtle. Be well and Happy Father’s Day Josh!
The 10:25 mark of the video features the start of a discussion of an unsuccessful IVF journey to create a sibling of Theo's. Hopefully should Josh and Brit try IVF again, she will get pregnant. At least the 2 parents of Theo have moved on.
weeping willows are nice trees but that tree is not planted deep enough. As it matures its going to have big roots coming to the surface. Trees should be planted ground level or slightly above. We had to remove a willow from our property because it wasn't planted deep enough and didn't have a chance to survive.
Perhaps being good dog parents prepared them for raising a human. Hopefully Theo will grow to become a responsible adult whatever occupation he chooses.
So sorry about the IVF journey not working out. Good job planting the weeping willow. One thing you could do is to add another tie onto it once the new fence is in for a year or two as the fence is higher than the stakes already in. This way Myrtle is tethered off higher up and the top will stand straighter. Fast growing means that Myrtle will grow in diameter quickly and in height as well. Some trees grow very slowly in both height in circumference. Within a few years Myrtle could start being a nice shade tree.
So nice to hear and see you tonight Brit. You look amazing as always. I'm so very sorry for all the pain and suffering you went through. I know it's been hard on both of you. I'm very excited to watch the growth of your weeping Willow. I think Theo will enjoy it. Think of the shade it will provide. I am no tree expert whatsoever, but it certainly seemed as though you both did an excellent job planting your forever tree. And just a side note: Most of us are in your shoes, first timers on doing new things, winging it, hoping for the best. Keeps life interesting. 🙏💕
Good job! Condolences on the IVF failure. BT, DT........... We ended up adopting. Our two daughters are in their mid 30's now. (We've got a 6 year-old granddaughter...)
So sorry about the bad news. There's still time! Tree looks good. I live close to the town where I grew up & I can drive by our old house & see the trees my Dad planted 50 yrs. ago.
Happy fathers day Josh. I planted a tree for my dad last year after he had passed. It symbolizes him looking over us now that hes not here. Great idea with yours too.
Brit will be 35 next month, congratulations. I’ll be 75 the 7th of July. It’s like we’re twins. We’re thinking of you two, and will hope the good Lord will bless you again next time.
Sorry to hear about your IVF not working for you and Brit. My thoughts and prayers are with you both during a most difficult time. What will be, will be but I certainly hope Theo will have a sibling -- just don't give up hope.
Josh start putting the water to it. If the weather there is like Ontario, in the nineties here all next week. OHH good give it all the water it wants lol. Place the extra dirt you have in the raised garden beds and throw some veggie plants in there.
This was a catch up visit Josh!! good to see the puppers again! I have a 45 year old Willow in my yard and I think it still leans a bit! great to see you and Brit and the pups man!! Take Care!
so sorry about the news , prayers it'll take next time and hopefully Britt will be feeling better that time around . that tree roots are gonna be really shallow and aggressive and spread 2-3 times the length of the tree . it might be too close to that fence
Josh, with the prairie winds, and harsh winters I think I would put two more stakes and brace it from all sides. It's tall and lean and as you always say securing loads, more is safer!
Weeping willows are majestic trees. I planted once one from a branch i cut from another weeping willow. I also didn’t knew what i was doing. I loved watching it grow for 6 years it started to be tall and lots of weeping branches, i was so proud of it. Made pictures every season of it. One day this spring i came and i had a heart attack my willow tree was gone only 4 feet trunk standing but the rest gone, beaver took it. I was so sad, actually the whole family was sad, everybody just liked that tree. I put taller mesh this time around that trunk Now some new branches are appearing so I’m taking care of this now. They such a beautiful trees.
Sorry about the IVF. I enjoy gardening. For bone meal 2-14-0, I always use the phrase up (2) down (14), all around (0). Up for growth, down for roots, and growth all around.

That explains why there are so many weeping willows in Vancity ,ive been off your channel for a minute so i didn't know you had a new place, looks great, good to see all the pups still around, sorry about the bad news...
Hey Josh & Brit….. Love love love the tree! It will be nice to watch it grow! I’m so sorry to hear the sad news!! The shining light in all of that is Theo! I love your family, big or small…… sending you many blessings and well wishes!
When planting trees u want to wet the soil part thats on the tree before u plant it and wet the soil u used in the hole then wet it when ur fully done planting it so all stages get some water but idk about where ur to but where i am its been raining alot so it might not matter if u didnt water it while planting
Hey Josh sorry to hear the news ....thanks so much for sharing that with us,our thoughts n prayers are always with you my trucker friend, you got a great family and your blessed my friend! Big shout out from Nova Scotia!
Those stakes you planted should be physically touching the tree all the way down, it helps keep it straight and also is protection against strong winds.
Sorry to hear about the IVF. My son & his significant other also tried IVF & they also failed to develop embryos. They will be trying again. It’s expensive here in the states. Unfortunately our gov’t wants to ban IVF. You are lucky.
Prayer's on the unfortunate situation with IVF. Josh you should have gotten your drum kit out and played a few beats as a ceramonial tree planting 😅. Wheeping willow ?? Never seen one that shape. I thought you said 3 years old. Great concept of Theo & the tree growing together. 🙏
Sorry to hear Josh about the ivf. You and Brit are great parents and keep your hopes high for a sibling for Theo. Great people deserve great things. Happy Father's day
Measure the circumference of the tree ((American here) in inches the amount it is, is the number of years for additional care, water, etc. until it’s on its own. Water bags are the best! I don’t add any amendments to the soil. You want the tree roots to go down and sideways looking for nutrients. Stronger tree!
The problem with a weeping willow is they don't lose their leaves till late December. Everything else is done and put away by November and you still have to wait for the Willow to drop its leaves.
My cousin's daughter and husband went through the same thing. I guess that would make her my second cousin, but I just call her cuz! I will include you folks in my prayers also! Keep 'em trucking sir!
Your weeping willow keeps getting a pretty song stuck in my head-- Willow Weep For Me by Lou Rawls. Seems a good one for you now, too. You guys are younger than me, and I like to think there's still time for even me. There's time.
Oh man sorry to hear the IVF wasn’t successful sending good thoughts and prayers it not easy and cheap the tree looks great something Theo can watch grow also it’s sad seeing diesel getting older I remember when you got him we had to put our dog Bailey down 2 months ago she was 11 shep mix take care
Nice tree but it's not planted deep enough. I would remove the top row of the concrete ring and plant the tree deeper. The ground level should be level to the top of the soil when it was in the pot.
I’m guessing by the shadow of the tree your backyard faces east. It would have been best to face the tree bow in the direction of shadow to help it curve back towards the sun and straighten up
Hi guys. Sorry to hear the ivf news but thanks for sharing. I've watched forever so I just want to say I'm glad britt is back on track so just remove the stress be yourselves without putting too much pressure on tomorrow. You never know what the big guy upstairs has planned to come your way. One beautiful boy or 5 more to come😮. Just be your happy selves & see what tomorrow brings ❤🇦🇺🙏👍
Great video Josh with the family tree. Sorry to hear about your IVF results, but sure you will not give up. Have you ever thought of adoption for a sibling for Theo. He is so blessed for his wonderful parents. Thanks.
Hey, guys... So, sorry that your IVF journey ended unsuccessfully, THIS time!! I know nothing anyone says can change that, but it must hurt, so, thanks for sharing that news with us!! On a brighter note; good luck with the tree, (Myrtle) I'm sure it'll grow big & strong.. Much love to you, both!! 🇮🇪❤🇨🇦xx
Josh if you have a septic system "non-city" willow tree roots will rip your tiles apart and clog the whole system. BIG REPAIR BILL!!! == Please check with a plumber to confirm my thoughts!!!
Josh, if you any amount of wind in your back yard it might be a good idea to sup Ort that tree, it very tall and young and needing some support . Just an idea ignore it if you want!
Britt and Josh, I am so sorry to hear this news but in the same breath I want to thank you both for being strong enough to share it! I still think there’s a lot of stigma out there in the area infertility. The amount of strength encourage it takes to be so public about your journey both when it’s worked and when it has not incredibly powerful. I hope this doesn’t sound weird but I have so much love and respect for you both. I will continue to hope and pray that you have Succession in the future and wish you nothing but the best. Again thank you for being so strong! You’re both incredible people! And I hope in someway this message helps with your healing.
We love your positive spirit. One recommendation from a Dad to a Dad. I suggest talking with a nursery man because my experience with Weeping Willows is they are extremely buggy and they have an invasive root system, especially if you have a septic system. Be prepared!
Love Diesel. I've been following you since he was just a puppy. He's a treasure.
Thank you Brit and Josh for sharing your IVF journey so sorry to hear the news. You guys did great with the tree and made me smile that you named it Myrtle. Be well and Happy Father’s Day Josh!

Nice that MAMA got to participate in today’s video. Also enjoyed seeing all your four legged children.
Perhaps being good dog parents prepared them for raising a human. Hopefully Theo will grow to become a responsible adult whatever occupation he chooses.
So sorry Josh and Britt. Sending lots of love and yes we are very thankful for Theo. You are blessed. Tree looks great!

Sorry for your bad news. I'm praying for something natural to happen for you guys. Love the family tree.
So sorry about the bad news. There's still time! Tree looks good. I live close to the town where I grew up & I can drive by our old house & see the trees my Dad planted 50 yrs. ago.
Hugs to your family. I had my Joshua when I was 38. I am blessed to have him. Am so happy for you guys having your beautiful baby boy.
Happy fathers day Josh. I planted a tree for my dad last year after he had passed. It symbolizes him looking over us now that hes not here. Great idea with yours too.

you could also add fertilizer sticks too to help grow as well.
So sorry to hear the bad news, I was afraid of that since there were no updates.
I'm sure God has a plan for your family.
Stay safe.
So sorry to hear it didn't work this time and thank you for sharing stuff with the viewers like you do. Best wishes to you and the family.
Family tree is wonderful 🌲💚🌲
My prayers to you and Brit. Hope the future brings you better news.
Love the property guys! The pups all look like they are doing well. Good to see you guys! ❤
Kinda figured as you hadn't mentioned it Josh, best of luck for the future, both of you.
Love diesel be safe on the road

I love a good weeping willow! Makes a lot of sticks but great shade and size.
Josh, with the prairie winds, and harsh winters I think I would put two more stakes and brace it from all sides. It's tall and lean and as you always say securing loads, more is safer!
Happy father day truck joah
I'm sorry to hear that, and God bless you with peace that comforts you.

Oh no! That's so sad! Crazy Beaver!
Beautiful, I love it! I’m not sure if it can grow in your zone, but look into a weeping cherry, they’re beautiful too.
Sorry about the IVF.

So sorry about the news guys.
Helpful hints you can use old milk jugs when the soil is saturated the gallon jug will only allow a limited amount of moisture for the plant
Cool idea with the new tree. All my best to you and Brit you guys deserve the best.
Hay Josh
Hey Josh & Brit….. Love love love the tree! It will be nice to watch it grow!
I’m so sorry to hear the sad news!! The shining light in all of that is Theo! I love your family, big or small…… sending you many blessings and well wishes!
Oh, I'm so sorry, I was thinking you 've been through so much and it couldn't be easy , love and hugs to you both.
God bless you all. Just enjoy that precious life you have already created. Be safe.
You guys are amazing. God bless you and your family.
So sorry about your sad news. Great job on the landscaping and your fur babies being out and about.

When your son is 20. 25 He will still be at home It’s all good thanks for the video safe travels
I hope their son is married and having his own career by 25.
Tree looks great, personally i would put it in deeper in the ground and keep soil brick lower.
IVF is super tough - we went through many egg retrievals and have been where you are. It sucks. Keep on moving forward, you got this!

Sorry to hear your news here, but sending good thoughts that it will work out for you next time.
Always a great video Josh ....can't wait to see more take care my friend, rubber side down.
Nice tree but it's not planted deep enough. I would remove the top row of the concrete ring and plant the tree deeper. The ground level should be level to the top of the soil when it was in the pot.
Weeping Willows, beautiful trees
sorry about the bad news. my wife and I were worried about the same thing happening thus never pulled the trigger on IVF.
Big hugs to Diesel. He is enjoying his retirement years.
I’m guessing by the shadow of the tree your backyard faces east. It would have been best to face the tree bow in the direction of shadow to help it curve back towards the sun and straighten up
Josh & Brit, sorry to hear about your IVF. 😢 Sending prayers you're way.
