- In this video we share how to install a beadboard backsplash to any farmhouse kitchen. It’s easy, inexpensive and fast. A lot of the products and tools used we already had on hand because we love to DIY, but we purchased 3 boards and only ended up using 2, making our backsplash only $40!

We put in bead board a couple of years ago and I love it. It’s held up very well. I love your cabinets. So much storage to be jealous of. LOL.
That's a great idea. I was planning on putting this in my bathroom, but using it as a backsplash looks good too.

It came out beautiful. I followed your video on painting kitchen cabinets and mine came out beautiful. Wow, it was a lot of work but it makes me smile looking at them. I am in love with the Sherman Williams paint. I can even wipe away grease from my husbands hands. After my roof gets done, I’m going to do a backsplash and countertops. Thank you for all the inspiration.

Thank you. I wanted the kitchen to still feel “old” even though we were updating it. I purposefully spray painted the hinges ORB because I like the contrast and I wanted them to match the new cabinet pulls. 😊 💕

What can I tell you, I don’t have no words to describe the wonders you guys do...the space on the counter, the neutral light colors, etc., the faucet is gorgeous👌😍🤩
You did an excellent job of explaining & showing this process. It was a relief to see you not using construction adhesive all over the back of the panels. That stuff would make for a disaster if anyone ever needed or wanted to remove the panels later on. And oh yes, watching those caulk seems and holes are always so satisfying! Looks Beautiful!

Your backsplash is awesome. I like beadboard as a backsplash I even used it in our little apartment over garage in Maine. I love the undercabinet lighting I think it’s really cool that you can just turn it on by waving your hand. That is really fun. 😃

Love this idea, it looks great. I just added bead board to our kitchen backsplash last week. We are having our cabinets painted in October. Your channel has inspired me to re do my kitchen. We bought our home new 16 years ago, so the golden oak cabinets need a change. Love your channel.

We live in a house that is over a 100 years old. This whole house needs to be renovated! MY kitchen is so outdated. We have old fashioned square tiles on the walls. And my kitchen cabinets are a ugly yellow color. Have you ever painted tile?

Very nice video with helpful explanations that are easy to follow! How has the bead board backsplash held up for you over the past few years to steam, oil and splatters from cooking? Is it hard to clean with all of the ridges?
It held up great! You just have to be sure the caulk is done well at the seams or you the risk of water getting underneath and it expanding. I had a teeny tiny (1 inch) area by the sink it happened to but it was a quick repair. I loved it as far as wiping it down. It was easy to maintain clean as long as it’s painted.
