My nephew has a male friend, who identifies as female, who dates a female who identifies as male... So they are in fact a straight couple with privileges.
I have a very woke step-daughter. She describes herself as bi-sexual. However, when I discuss this with her, what this comes down to being very close to to a couple of her female friends and having a very close, affectionate friendship for them. There is nothing sexual. What has happened is that the meaning of friendship and non-sexual "love" for another human being has become perverted and distorted by fundamentalist faith based sect.

Who did the study and paid for it? how many people were asked? what was the demographic and area surveyed? this is a pretty good example of why journalism is in the trash.
I wondered how they surveyed people from the past.

it was surveyed in someone's house..10 people were asked as a lgbtq support session was being held there,; the study was done by a student who was looking for a safe space;, ,the demographic was the uni students who were there and the area surveyed was less than 100 sq mtrs. no money changed hands though a possible purple unicorn did make advances..(.the said student is hopeful)

This is hardly surprising. The media is full of praise for alphabet people, there are public parades, schools go out of their way to teach that diversity is great, and diversity is strength, when you idolise something to that degree, is it really surprising that kids and young people wish to conform to that ideal? I don’t think it’s a problem when it comes to sexuality, if you shag someone of the same gender, then realise that that is not your thing, there’s no real harm done. The problem comes with trans rights. We are being asked to accept a downright lie, that a trans woman is a woman. No they’re not, they are a trans woman. Are the activists so disgusted by trans women that they can’t accept them for what they are?

I have worked in the public sector for years and they more actively now recruit and promote to increase their diversity metrics. White males are discouraged from senior jobs. Ability is secondary.

My son actually fills in job applications to avoid recruiters thinking he is white, male, Caucasian etc. Far more chance of getting an interview if you tick the diversity box.

Bollocks. What you have is 10% who are actually what I'll refer to as queer, and 30% who will call themselves bisexual in order to allow themselves entry to the "in group". If you beak down the identification further than LGBT you will find the vast majority are bi. I'm 23 and I'm engaged. It is genuinely tempting in future to claim that I'm bi (what are they gonna do, make me prove it?) because it will undoubtedly grant me employment opportunities on the basis of LGBT identification that I would not be granted as a heterosexual. This is the perverse incentive that our culture has created.
You get plenty of privilege as a heterosexual. The freedom to travel anywhere in the world and not be targeted for genocide for consummating your marriage is heterosexual privilege.
