  • I really enjoyed the cheeky humor and appreciated the thought-provoking suggestions of Fay Dashper-Hughes in this article, so I’m sharing it here in case you want to read the whole thing! I’m going to look at ALL of my accumulated stitching projects with these four themes in mind… Finish Frog Salvage Donate.

    Oh my gosh I love that color of fabric. It is gorgeous and that Santa Claus is so cute and I really like your idea of how to organize your projects because I have a lot of unfinished that I should start finishing and I have a lot finished that just needs to be put in frames Thanks again for another great video.

    So many charts, so little time. I love the lady liberty chart! I love to stitch a Santa in July! Wonderful content as usual, thanks for all you do for the stitching community.

    Thank you for making the suggestion of frogging your mistake when you do it, instead of setting it aside for later. It does make sense to do it then. I love Bent Creeks Santa kit. Too cute!

    I love the idea of donating your unfinished/unwanted WIPS. I have bought pieces that were unfinished at thrift stores or yard sales. Matter of fact that is how I got back into cross stitching after my hiatus when my children were small. I bought a bag of cross stitch supplies that was included an unfinished piece in it and I haven’t looked back. I was hooked again. I stitch Santa all year round. Happy stitching, Shelly!

    I usually don’t try to stitch holidays, but the Santa tree ornament is one that I’ve been wanting to try and get going on doing.

    Aww!...The Patriotic Santa pattern is so sweet.
    I would love to try the Bent Creek zippered pouch kits! Never knew about them. Thanks for all your videos. I really enjoy watching them on Sunday evening while I do my crafting. (Cross stitching, Embroidery, Knitting and Crocheting. Whatever catches my fancy at the time.)
    Thank~You Shelley! ^.^

    Oh Shelly … I did a silent scream of delight when Teresa Kogut introduced her latest patriotic stitch for PNPS magazine. As soon as the download was available I printed that beauty! I hope to start it later this summer. Stitching SANTA is still a bit early for me. I’m thinking about pumpkins and turkeys these days. Thanks for making my early morning so enjoyable. ◡̈

    WIPGO helps me, I set realistic goals and see progress on my larger projects. If you don't frog, and put the item into Time-Out, you may not know where the error is once you get back to it. I use a tail end weaver instead of using a needle most times. Love Santa, & Patriotic, the BC zipper kits are so convenient. Let's start PNPS "Miss Liberty" by TK on July 4th !!

    As I was listening to you, I was thinking about how I could take this little girl scarecrow that I’ve started, but have no ambition to finish because I really hate the fabric that I chose and I can just send her a little hoop to see that adorable little face!

    Floss Bossin Cousins Christie and Callie have the HEIFER board. Heifer like a cow (hef-er). When you start stitching don’t you hold an inch of floss on the back and have your first few stitches go over it to hold the end, then just trim off any long end ?? I do not understand how you always have so many ends to ‘wind under’ at the end. 🧐

    • @juststitchinginc9777
      @juststitchinginc9777  3 місяці тому +1

      When I stitch with one strand, I like to anchor my floss with a Bargello Stitch for more security and it’s awkward to do that when you start:-) Also, when working a complicated pattern, having that little bit of extra floss available can really save a misplaced stitch situation. It doesn’t happen often, but as I mentioned, it ALWAYS happens to me when there is no tail lol.
