My rule of thumb is that increasing a tier 5 tower's main attack is usually stronger than adding an additional one, with the exception being towers like prince of darkness where the wall of fire is best

@@kyokajiro1808 I think by extra attack they mean by the games definition, as in what consumes alch buff charges seperately. So sniper shrapnel and buc grapes are buffing the main attack because they are on the same cooldown just add projectiles, while wizard mid path and druid top path are actually adding additional sperate attacks with their own fire rate.
I think that difference also outlines why buffing one attack is generally stronger, they give more bang per charge of alch buff while adding a secondary attack might actually decrease damage by taking charges away from the primary (which usually is firing many projectiles)

its really easy whats better, usually AFTER all sacrifices are made its range for maximum buff coverage, but otherwise if you arent buffing towers then knockback is important
Why not have the support druids be 204? That way you still have the lightning necessary to catch anything that slips by your army, and if you space it so that they’re out of range of the alchemist, you’re not wasting any of their buffs

They are just support, I only use them as 004 than 204 or 014
It largely doesn't matter if you go 204 014 since they are just the support.
From memory (quite a while back so may be different now) but the support druids would only get to about 50k each over a chimps game. Avatar would get 1m+. Support was 014. The damage difference on the supports cross path is largely money that would be better spent on a 023 glue or other support for the main druid.
That's cos if you are going this strat usually for the Round 40 MOAB you will have maybe 3 Druids at 0-1-3. If you went for 1-0-3 the MOAB won't die fast enough and unless the track loops you will leak on CHIMPS. The 8 thorns will all hit MOAB class cos of their larger hitbox.
I actually did the lightning crosspath most times, although I rarely use the AOW. This is great to know - thanks for the video! I personally really like the lightning upgrade for lower tier druids as it's nice to help clean up scatter bloons. There are plenty other towers that can do this, though...so no excuse!

Another pretty known one but sometimes people do actually get lightning as they think it does way more than it actually does.
(Also possible contenders for this series moab shove and commache, d breath and phoniex, and elite def. Unless u already did that idk i forgor )

I always liked having the lightning even though I knew it was functionally worse. Knowing it only does 30 pierce I might not ever buy it again.
Started going top path for avatar because 105 can pop lead. Which negates the need for a mib.

Obyn and Druid strats were always there to help lots of new and old players due to their interactive flexibility. Also, Lv11 gives druids +4 pierce(2 for all Magic and 1 for just Druids, plus the lv3 on top)

I've found when only using poplusts that they are more successful with 2-0-4 rather than 0-1/2-4, plus hard thorns gives lead popping power, good for ddts
Can u cover the sentry champion crosspaths next ? Since one provides extra moab dmg and the other adds pierce ( i think ) and pin effect to sentries
yea I've pretty much only used 205 in weird situations where i can't MIB and are using another hero. Fantastic tower though, its up there with POD, ninjalc, permaspike, moab glue and sky shredder micro when it comes to my go-to strategies

Btw the alch was only buffing the 004s. FYI the closets tower to the alch is the tower the alch is going to alch buff. If you put the alch below the 015 Druid then it would get the buff a lot more often

Bloonsolver is 502 as the extra pierce from 520 only matters on round 163, stronger stimulent Is 400/420 for 1-2 towers, 401 for 3 or more towers being buffed by the single alc

@@Hbomb i thought bloon solver had like 20 pierce, if thats the case 6-8 more pierce isnt better than more damage over time, and more slow on ceramics

One thing I hate about shinobi tactics and poplust druids (shinobi tactics is worse in this) is sometimes it is way too hard to get the maximum effect because it requires a lot of space and range to affect the main one.

I always go 0 1 4/5 for my druids, with one 3/4 0 2 in range if I can afford it for cleanup and stalling
Sounds to me like if you want heavy DPS, go 0-2-5, if you want utility go 2-0-5.
Druid of Wrath weakness is DDT (since it has less RBE so less damage and fast speed) so it's important to have 402 Sniper and 023 Glue with camo detection as stall.
Both crosspath are good but personally I prefer the DPS of 015 Druid.

I mean for ddts you only need 013 glues set on strong
@@sadagusfate bigger globs triples the pierce of the Moab glue for less than the cost of another 0-0-3 glue. No upgrades are 'needed', really
@@rossanderson4156 Globs is not great because they still shoot slow and spaced bloons will sneak through, I prefer 2 0-1-3 glues under a p training camo village.
@@rossanderson4156 I mean trippe pierce really helps makes sure it doesn't get blocked by Moabs, mostly in regards to round 95, but glue splatter is just overkill

Can you do a video about the collection events? Ive opened so many diamond chests and have never gotten a tier 5 insta. I selected a super monkey as my featured monkey and got 2 tier 3 instas from a diamond chest. Does it go by money? I got lower level super monkeys because theyre more expensive? I got to 1000 collection pkints 3 or 4 days in and have been grinding diamond chests and still no tier 5s i have no ides what im doing wrong
1:58 what is the stronger stimulant for? Since there are 6 druids, the AoW rarely gets the buff, and its attacks already do a lot of damage, meaning that +1 from SS doesn't do much.
Ideally, you want two stronger stimulants powering your AoW, and if you can’t afford two, putting the one stronger stimulant so only the AoW is in his range

AoW does up to 30 damage anyway. 31 will not be a significant change.

1-0-5 can pop leads, you should get it if you need to go to round 95+ and you dont have village/mib
Honestly the loss of dps from going 105 or 205 rather than 015 is rather large. the druid also needs camo support any way since it doesn't detect them normally. A 230 village is one of the best support towers in the game for a lot of strategies so its best to go with it anyway.
I'd hope you can get a mib by round 95, but you're correct in that the 105 can pop leads and with Camo detection ddts
On some maps with very limited space a Mib can sometimes not be feasible
I usually get 015 aow and then 2-3 204 druids around him and the other with thorn swarm

205s is what I go for if I’m not allowed to use village as lead popping is also only gained by top path (which u didn’t mention) and it’s way more useful for popping DDT’s . At least I’m pretty sure 015 cannot pop lead
That's a good point. 015s can't pop leads
2-0-5 is actually better for rounds 98 (grouped moabs) since the lightning gets buffed dmg, triggers way faster, and can leap to multiple moabs which is really good in actual practice.

If you want to go late game, 2-0-5 is better cuz I doubt this will be your main attack so you’ll probably want this as support so high pierce
There is one detail you kinda skipped over and that's the lightning cast speed does scale with the decreased hp = attack speed up that the AOW has
Usually, I only get a 0-1-5 AoW because I don't get to de-regrow regrows. If I get it before Round 76, then I get 0-2-5.

Populist adds good pierce too which negates a lot of the benefits of 2-0-5 druids. That's the main reason 0-2-5 is so much stronger.

Along with the new update, I think that the new updated top path is better now. It allows it to hit any bloon type, without needing the extra 10k for a MIB. Thus, the massive damage for groups is very helpful.

Every time I do the druid strat I micro the hell of the first 000 druid to get obyn 1-3 rounds earlier, it takes me an average of 8 tries to get obyn early and that gets obyn 2 lvls earlier

fun fact regardless of whether you have obyn or alch buff a 2-0-4 and a 0-2-4 druid does the same damage(within 5% of each other). also a 2-0-5 druid out damages a 0-2-5 druid by over 30% if there is no obyn. (regardless if there's a alchemist involved)
So if you have obyn, go 0-2-5 and if using another hero go 2-0-5?

Depends on scenario. 2-0-5 performs better against group bloon dmg, but it’s not as good when it comes to single-target dmg like bads. 0-2-5 is the opposite. But considering that even if u do not use Obyn, u can use 5 poplusts to buff the pierce, then 0-2-5 is generally better because it can then have as good of grouped bloon dmg as 2-0-5.
i also included the 5x poplust buffs in my testing and found that the poplust buff and alch buff both boosted a 2-0-5 and a 0-2-5 druid equally. with the 2-0-5 being 30% better in both group and single target damage. the only major difference is when obyn is added since it gives more than just pierce to a 0-0-5 druid. in that case it buffs the 0-2-5 druid by so much it out performs the 2-0-5 druid
Do a comparison between 520 and 502 Wizard Monkey and tell us with to use^^

6 druid can also beat elite tier 2 or normal tier 2 and 3 bloonarius

Don't forget about buffing the AoW by losing lives and intentionally not regaining them. Heart of Vengeance adds a lot of damage. (Obviously this doesn't work on Impop or CHIMPS, though.)
So if I'm not planning to use Obyn, is the 2-0-5 better then? Or should I still use 0-2-5 no matter what?
Then it is up to you, if you need single target damage go with a 0-1-5, if you need group damage go with a 2-0-5

Requires that you lose lives which is a vary risky and inconsistent thing to do. Also not always possible.
@@existentialrowlet nah it's pretty free to leak life's early game, even by just delaying placing towers, you won't get the 100% buff unless you calc it out with camo rounds, but it's still a sizable buff until late levels obyn
@@sadagusfate You get 1% for every life lost after the upgrade is bought. It only works on game modes were you can lose lives so generally I don't consider it when debating it. IF you can get it to work by all means go for it, it's just something I don't do.

I know it's to prove the point but that alch spot is pretty bad. It prioritizes towers closer to it so it'll be pretty rare for the AOW to get an alch buff and it'll run out of it super fast

Always go 025. The extra dps is far better in most situations than the extra pierce. Sure it can be better for super dense rounds like 63 or 98 but it will do a fair bit worse the rest of the time.
