We went to the courthouse dressed to the 9s with our parents and siblings to avoid all the wedding drama, opinions and cost and then had a big reception/party and a 2 week honeymoon. The ceremony was intimate and perfect and just about God/us. We took very nice pics. 10 years later we’re grateful we did it that way. We had our dream forever house built instead of spending all that money on one day. Just a thought!💐

Nathalie I have been married for 24 years and at first we wanted to do a big wedding, then it became bigger then us and we went to the court with a few family members and the went on a honeymoon, my best advise would be let this wedding be something you and Eric do together, don’t feel stress just take your time and do what you both feel is comfortable, trust me once everyone starts putting there two cents in it starts to get crazy, just remember this is his and your wedding be happy, good luck

Nice to see you back Nat. I have one suggestion. When I got engaged I didn’t want to take my ring off. The jeweler told us to take the ring off while doing any cleaning, unboxing boxes and packages. It scratches the gold and the diamonds. It is such a beautiful ring, take care of it. I now take if off as soon as I get home. So excited for all The wedding planing. Such an exciting time. Nice book, so detailed.
Same. I don’t wear my ring in the house at all. At home we do dishes, laundry, clean etc which is harmful to the Diamond and band
Agreed with this comment 100%. We love our rings and wish to always have it on but we want to preserve it as best as we can. We are sure you are taking good care of it but we’re just looking out for you :)

I rally enjoyed this video, wedding planing is difficult 😣 I was fortunate to have my mom be my wedding planner since she likes everything about doing events and decorating. I am forever grateful 🥲 because thanks to her I was able to enjoy in some way the specks day. My husband and I are going to be married 12 years next month. Don’t over think and let things flow, and yes people in DR are so disconnected and uninterested it’s mind blowing.

TBH you don’t need a wedding planner. My wedding was August 2021 and I did it myself... Good luck no matter what you decide tho!

My hubby and I planned our wedding in about 6 weeks. He asked me to marry him July 1 and we got married August 27. I bought a $75 dress off the rack at the only bridal store in the small town where I grew up. I had my college roommate stand up with me as my matron of honor. Hubs had his fraternity brother. We rented a Victorian mansion/museum and could only have 30 guests (immediate family). I found an ad in the local paper for an Episcopalian minister that did weddings on the side for $75. Had a delicious, but small wedding cake. Brunch at a nearby restaurant/bar with a cash bar. We did splurge on the photographer, but didn't have a video done. Long story short, our wedding was beautiful and we enjoyed it. No stress and cost under $5,000 total. We had a 4-day honeymoon in Niagara Falls and I was back at work on Thursday. Two weeks later we had a big party at my Mom's house. It's nuts to be stressed out and in debt at your own wedding and should be a joyful, happy experience. Just something to consider.

We had a minimal religious ceremony- with parents and siblings and went to a very fancy restaurant. Went to England and Spain for 4 weeks and 3 years bought our dream home which we paid off in 10 years. We are planning on traveling next year and have our reservations for a month in Dubai - i rather keep my money and spend it on us than give it away. we also have 2 little girls.

Jean Roldan!!!! Hands down the most amazinggggggg planner. My uncles wedding was a dream. Communication is lacking and you really will speak to him few and far between. But he gets the entire vision and will make your dreams come true I promise
Honestly, I think it is just a thing with wedding planners in DR. Communication sucks but they get the job done and supersede anything you could have imagined.
