REMOVAL OF CORRODED & SEIZED METAL TYRE VALVE CAPS

If you have metal valve caps screwed directly onto your tyre’s valves and left in place for some time, the chances are you could find yourself in a pickle like I did, as the two adjacent metals may have corroded and seized together making the cap removal one heck of a job. Now I could have taken my motor up to the garage to let them at her and get the job sorted, but hey, that’s not me and I like to try to fix things myself. While I was having a go, I took videos for you, so you could see my mistakes and hopefully find out a way to get them off if I was successful. I am very pleased to say I was, so here we go then with my efforts, warts ‘n’ all, I still had to go to the garage in the end though, but at least I only needed to pay for 2 new valves/TPMS and not 4.
That’s the Mercedes E-Class sorted, now I just have to have a go at the Jaguar XJ X351 and Bentley GTC ;-)
