Aeroflot Flight 6502 is approaching the airport when the Captain makes a bet with the First Officer that he can land without looking. I've been on a flight where the door to the cockpit was wide open and I could see one of the pilots sleeping!

@@Jnor116 It must have been smaller... I would have been flying from the UK to Italy and back. (Longer flights have entertainment systems so I wouldn't have noticed the pilots 😆)

@@Klucylu that right there is why. Gus commented that the regulation was in the United States. Also in the United States passenger aircraft have to have the cockpit locked unless unable do so.
so. Hence why I asked if it was before 9/11.

i mean, i get that they changed rules, but in this case the pilots were simply ignoring the air control. What is there to do? You must assume pilots are going to cooperate.

I landed in the simulator once with zero visibility. It is possible, just not recommended.
