Thanks for this video. To answer a couple of other peoples question. I believe the filters with the pleats in them are for deep cleaning fine materials in your pool such as algae or DE powder, sand, etc. The other thin mesh ones are great to put in when you have a bunch of leaves on the bottom, such as in spring or fall and a more concerned about picking all that leaves up then worried about deep cleaning. Seems like those would allow for more water flow and therefore possibly picking up the leaves better, be less likely to get jammed at the entrance door, If they’re flowing through faster and moving all the way into the basket quickly and getting out of the way of the opening.
Thank you! I am good with putting things together - but like others have said - there is nothing in the documentation about what these filters are for - or how to insert them. Short, sweet, to the point - great video!😀
Thanks so much for this. There was not a clear explanation in the manual. Now I'm guessing these are the fine particle filters. Still not sure when and how often to use them.
Thank goodness for this video Manuel doesn't show how to change out. And why do you have to change ? What is the difference between the 2 sets of panels ?
TheGitard I agree with the last, it would be nice for someone to explain the features of the machine in the controls for the active 20 hopefully sooner than later

Thank you so much for this I get the ultrafine filters a great for like your regular normal pool cleaning and it sounds like the fine filters are good for like the autumn leaves and things like that.. I was just having trouble snapping these guys in the side in 1234 but it doesn’t say when you’re putting them back in to go from 4 3 2 1 so here I am trying to put my filters back in 1234 and for the life of me I could not get the side ones in but now I know to start with the sides thank you!!
This not how my filter panels act. I got number 1 out with no difficulty. Number 2 will not come out. The pressure that I am applying is enough to bend the housing. It feels like something is going to break. My left thumb has a mirror image of the number 2 pressed into it.
I have the exact same problem with mine. Often has problem climbing walls also I've given up now and just clean as best as I can with a hose without removing the panels. Not what I expected given the price of it.
@@garryaustin7365 Thank you for replying. At least one person is paying attention. You would think/hope that the owner of this video would maybe check it out a few times a year to see how awesome their customer outreach is going. Maybe be able to answer some easy questions from people who paid a lot of money for their product.
I'd like to know which screen is best for algae - I have very light algae but I need it to get caught in the filter not just filter through. I am VERY grateful for this video
Thx! Does anyone know the Dolphin Active 20 4-filter model number or link to recommended place/price to purchase? I kinda destroyed mine trying to clean and pull all the stuck gunk and pine needles and everything else :-(

The directions in the box are worthless. You have a choice, install the pleated filters or other fine screen filters which come preinstalled in box. You can not use both simultaneously. With the pleated filters it helps to install the long filters first and then the shorter side filters. The programming instructions are terrible. The good news is the robot seems to work great.
Hello Donna, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We've forwarded it to the relevant team. Also, the Ultra-Fine filters (accordion shaped) are used for small debris such as sand, while the Fine filters (net) are used for larger debris such as leaves.

Kinda ridiculous you have to search around to figure out which filter is what for what. Just state it in the manual! lol
Helpful thanks!! The manual is poor on showing how the filters install.

Excellent, helpful video. Works the same for 2024 edition of my Maytronics S400 model.

I just encountered the same issue. This is so frustrating. You'd think the company would chime in on this.
Do you have to put them in a certain order?
