I quite enjoyed Yu Yu Hakusho when it premiered originally on Toonami. I was always a DBZ kind of guy, but this was an anime that wasn't afraid to get "real". By that, I mean how you so succinctly put it in the video the sheer emotion that Yusuke had felt during the course of the show (from watching others grieve his loss to Genkai's speech, and more). I've got the DVDs for the show but yeah I need to pickup that Blu-Ray before they're all gone. Great video!
Not afraid to get real... that's a good way to put it! Re-watching the entire series for probably the 12th million time over the last two decades, the emotion is still there for me. Really great job by the English voice actors. Justin Cook, who led the US project and also voiced Yusuke, did a tremendous job bringing these characters to life.
@@FeralInferno Ooh and I just saw the first of five, 55-minute episodes of the new Netflix series that is dubbed in English (sub with Japanese vocal track is available too). I feel like it's missing heart, you know? A certain quality that the OG anime had is just not in the live-action, IMO. I also didn't like how they sped through so many events in that first episode.
@@infernofoxgaming10 that's how I felt watching the previews. Cool for people who can appreciate it, just not for me. I'm sticking to the original! ✌️😁
Never saw this anime. I remember watching Robotech and reading the books in middle school. I started getting anime more when I was in the Navy from Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha. This would be something I would be interested in watching especially the physical copies. No digital for me. Thanks for introducing this to me Feral.
Robotech! Rick Hunter was the man! I haven't seen that in quite a few years. I picked up Cowboy Bebop on my lil bro's recommendation but haven't watch it yet. If you enjoyed InuYasha, I'm fairly certain you'll dig Yu Yu Hakusho.
It's one of the better animes out there. Very strong character development and tells a fantastic story. There is a live action coming out soon.. but as a long-time fan of the series, I'm not sure how I feel about it just quite yet lol 😅
It's an awesome show and a terrific journey. I think you'll really like the characters. And yeah I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the series! 😺🔥
@@TheRetroManRandySavage Poltergeist Report is a film. Yeah, 90 minutes is about right. It's a good intro to the show in terms of seeing if you'll like the characters and the premise.
Savage!! This was a produced video. UA-cam hasn't updated the partner hours meter in a couple days, but right now it's sitting at about 350 more. Hopefully it updates tonight and I'll have a better idea of where we stand. Thanks for asking!
Oh nice! I still have a few VHS tapes in my collection. Poltergeist Report and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey are two that I will have to hang onto forever fornever

was so well-made! You put so much effort into it, and it really shows. Keep up the fantastic work
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I'm not much into Anime but I respect it as art. I like the drawings of some of the characters. Very Cool video Feral!👍👍
I used to draw characters from anime back in the day. Still have a bunch of my pencil drawings.

Never saw the anime but I've heard the name time and time again. Think they have a live action show or movie on Netflix right now.

I think it says 1hr and 30 odd minutes, if I'm not mistaken.🤔
