My gran was sent near Inverness during the Glasgow slum clearances. When the people that she stayed with stopped being paid an allowance for looking after her (she was old enough to work) she was just went back to Glasgow. I think she liked Inverness better though.
I remember going to a writers' retreat in Beauly, about 12 miles west of Inverness. I spent my final weekend in Inverness and visited a Michelin-star-rated restaurant there. Forget the name of it, but it was close to a bridge on the River Ness. I'll never forget the scallops I had there!
Ok lm biased but I love Inverness city friendly and as you said lots of live music a beautiful city ok forty miles south from me but still a great place to visit thanks for showing this Kevin 👍
The best part of Inverness, "the Ironworks" was shut down to make yet another unwanted hotel. It was the best venue small and personal and attracted great bands. Worse decision ever made. Eden Court is a middle class nightmare, nowhere else really for music. If you want to get pissed there's plenty of options for all. Very little other cultural attractions just another dead end badly run dump.
Great meeting you in Rose St Foundry Bar! We were the rowdy work group that you gave us a shout out to 😊 You’re welcome back to Inverness anytime! Cheers from Michelle
@@ScotsmaninTenerife you do a BRILLIANT job with your videos and I’m sure they help plenty folks so thank you! Helped me loads when I was planning our first girls trip to Benidorm couple of months ago…..which we loved😎
No I have done similar videos here before I just had some spare time while here , the videos in Scotland don't do well on this channel but sometimes they get views.

Hey Kev, you could cut down your travel costs now.
You and the entire SNP could all share a mini bus and still have spare seats!
