Peabo Bryson lived down the hall from me back in the eighties when we both had penthouses in Midtown Atlanta. In real life he is one of the nicest people one could ever hope to meet. And his voice is truly beautiful; many times I would walk toward the elevator and hear him singing in perfect pitch while playing his piano, practicing. One day I met Roberta Flack at the elevator. Apparently she had just finished visiting with him. Also a very sweet person. Yes, folks, there used to be truly talented artists who were also decent and very kind people in real life. These are two of them.

@@borood1188 I'm telling the truth. We lived in Hanover House condominiums in Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta on 15th street. I was in 16B, the first condo on the left at the head of the corridor just off the elevators and he was in 16E (if I remember correctly) the last condo on the right.
One way you might be able to verify the veracity of my claim is by looking for Georgia case law involving my late mother, Ramona Watkins Churvis, and Xavier Roberts, the man who invented the Cabbage Patch Kids. He lived in 16A, the first unit on the right, and his remodelers caused some water damage to our unit. It became Georgia case law due to the relationships between all parties involved -- contractors, subcontractors, owner of the unit (Roberts), owner of the building (I forgot), Ramona, etc. That should prove we lived there.
Then you should be able to find Peabo Bryson's unfortunate history with the IRS due to some shenanigans by his financial manager, which forced him to sell his Hanover House Colony Square condo and move to a lesser property near Lenox Mall. You might find a bit about him living in Hanover House in Colony Square, I'm not sure; I haven't looked.
Anyway, let me know if you need any more guidance toward proof that I have been telling the truth.
Also, if you think this is outlandish, you should hear about the rest of my life and the lives of my parents!

@vor-nachname I know it's not live. But to be in the studio itself would be an experience. I once had a colleague whom worked in studio recoding many years ago. Obviously, they will use effects to give it the sound they want. Last I heard from him, he was making trance music as a hobby. That was 20 years ago.

Peabo Bryson is a very UNDERRATED singer. Great voice; and this is one of the most beautiful duets ever recorded.
Look at his career success outside of DISNEY. Given his talent, his career should have been bigger. The two Grammys garnered from DISNEY are from duets, which are not indicative of SOLO SUCCESS. Moreover, as a music connoisseur, I hardly ever see his name mentioned in discourse on male singers. Usually, the names mentioned are Luther, Teddy, MJ, Prince etc. Moreover, the same difference is applied to Patii Austin, another major underrated singer. I was not really into Peabo back in the day, but like a lot of people here mentioned, he has a beautiful voice. There were just so many gifted Black singers, and great songs back then. Nothing like today. You gotta look hard to find any great love songs now, not to mention singers who can hold a note. We're forgetting who we are more and more every year.

Roberta has such an awesomely smooth voice. (Bryson as well) The duet on this video places the purity of their vocals above the instruments. I was a sophomore in college when she released "Killing Me Softly With His Song". She is on my short list of all time favorite artists.

This is truly a 70’s power duet released in the 80’s. I remember it well. It never got the true recognition that it demands. The radio stations controlled the industry and MTV was on the rise. They got fixed on other music as we know. Incredible musical connection here. Roberta Flack is the most underrated artist in todays music. She absolutely loves music as she’s multi talented. If you can’t feel the emotions in this….. you must not be breathing.

Dançavamos de rosto coladinho, e os meninos tinham sempre a preocupação em sempre ter um Halls no bolso. Era inocente, era respeitoso!! E quando voce " ficava " com uma garota era como obrigação leva-la em casa, não importasse a distancia. A gente esperava ela entrar em casa; se virava para ir embora e nos sentíamos o cara mais poderoso do universo!! Bons tempos.
Sou dessa época, apesar de minha mãe me prender muito, eu sei que era a proteção.
