  • Mindy Jones is a top producing REALTOR with the Amy Jones Group of RE/MAX Infinity. Mindy lives and specializes in the Central Phoenix area including the Phoenix Historic District.
With more than 35 historic districts in the Phoenix area - most bound between Northern and Jefferson and the 17 and 51 freeways, the next few minutes are meant to wet your whistle with a preview of one of my favorites. If you find yourself wanting to live historic or have a unique property you are ready to pass along, give us a call at 602-451-4975, we can’t wait to help.
Fairview Place, Del Norte and Encanto. Look, picking just ONE of my favorites is hard - so I’ve cheated a little and bound these three beauties together.
Fairview Place, with its long city blocks and palm tree lined streets, was named for its proximity to the Arizona State Fair grounds, the oldest building of which was built in 1918. Except for a few houses built in the 20s - Fairview Place and its neighbor Del Norte share homes built primarily in the 30s and 40s. While Fairview Place homes hover right around 1200 square feet on average, Del Norte offers a slightly larger foot print and trades the suburban for more of a country club feel. Del Norte offers many homes that face or side to the Encanto Municipal Golf Course which runs across 15th Avenue and through the neighboring Encanto-Palmcroft neighborhood across the street. Known for its large estates, windy streets, and views of Encanto Park - Encanto-Palmcroft maintains its position as one of the priciest historic neighborhoods in Phoenix and for good reason! Established in 1935, Encanto Park spans 222 acres of windy lakes and lagoons, a boat house with paddle boats for rent, recreational fishing and golf, basketball and tennis courts, a swimming pool, and several places to play including playgrounds and the Enchanted Island theme park.
Can you imagine living just steps away from the Central Park of Phoenix - taking a paddle boat ride on the weekend or organizing a game on the field? If living historic seems like something you’d like to try or if you have been living historic and are ready to move up, downsize, or share your unique historic property with someone else - give me a call today at 480-250-3857.
