Wow, this brings back some memories. My first trip up and down Chantry was on a BMX bike in Elementary school. A friend and I hike a biked to the road to bomb the downhill using our feet dragging as brakes. Starting in my junior year of high school, we cycled Chantry at least once a week. I also flipped my first car on that road delivering pizza to the pack station. We also spent a good amount of time on our fully rigid mountain bikes on the trails above parking lot that would probably scare me now on a cushy full suspension. I'm so glad to see it's back open.
I tackled Chantry a few weeks ago and it was truly a climb. The Recreational Snack Bar and Helipad were definitely worth it. This video tho…I love the vibe and energy of everyone/thing captured. Thx for sharing!!! 🤙🏾
in a the world of modern content creation where everything is so over produced and reeking of spon-con, its nice to find a cool video with normal people that just makes you want to ride with your friends in tshirts and mtb pedals
This is my favorite comment bc this is the goal. I am an ambassador of certain brands, but I never intend to lead with that. Just want to keep bikes fun and bring the MTB spirit to road🕺🏾hope you stick around!
@@stevemartinez9075 we dont mind at all! We’re a pretty chill crew overall. We typically host a social ride once a month called Saturday Social which would be a good place to start (we update on IG: @saturdaysoc).
Us old mountain bikers been up there for years. The top of the road is just the begin for us. Winter Creek trail to the top. Road bikers can't get up there.
What camera and mount/handlebar do you use to record these rides? About to go to cycling in Zion next week and it’ll be my first time using an action cam.
@ word. How long is the mouthpiece comfortable for? (Pause) I got an osmo action pro with the standard handlebar mount, the mini handlebar mount, and the hand strap to free up the hands. Gotta test them out and see which ones the move.

Some of the Knight Riders and I everested on Chantry in 2018. We saw a bear that day. Now it’s the way I finish up Montrose Long. I like heading up there for a beer, then ride back to LA. Lotta PeNiS in the vid 😂
bears frequent the area, especially since it was closed off for so long. We saw a cub at around 4:30am, we had completed 4 laps by then. We spooked it and never saw it again. Solid edit either way, nice work dude.
