Yep. I used Autosol on my Bullet engine casings and they always came up like new ( and I did ride that bike in Germany where it was always raining ! ).
As you say, polishing casings is very therapeutic and the end result makes it really satisfying.
A lovely video James, really enjoyed listening to you chat.
Who would have thought that watching polish dry could be so entertaining ? 😂👍🏻

Good evening James, just found your site on UA-cam, here in Spain my new R.E. Red and Chrome Classic 350 won't be in the country until possibly May 😭😢😥 but at the minute the half a kilometre of track from my house to the road is very muddy with the recent rain, okay for my Freelander but not my bikes. However, to come back to your video, like you I've used Solvol Autosol since the mid sixties on my bikes and also use small buffing pads in a drill (now a Dremel tool) in the hard to get at places like bolt apertures, it works well. Sorry to hear you have a bad back - oh the joys of old age 😂😂😂 Best of luck with the polishing, regards Morgan
Evening Morgan 😊 The Classic will be fine in the Spanish mud the proper mud guards keep the bike nice and clean and she will take you straight back to 1966 without the leaks and bits falling off 😀 100mpg and 100smiles per mile there fanbloodytastic 👍
You had me going there for a minute. I thought that I had to rush out and look for The Pink Stuff. I think that a Dremel tool qualifies as a hands off cleaning method, so Uncle Stu might be interested. I can't afford a Dremel tool though so I use a tooth brush (the wife's preferably)..... 😂😂🤣🤣

i'll show you how I do mine... 😉 -- Autosol, best thing ever, used to use it to clean my white powder coated wheels on my TZR125. Nice product placement James and sorry I'm so late.

Good morning, James. With an all black engine I won't be doing this malarkey but all power to your elbow 👍. I always used to use Solvol Autosol too for polishing chrome and alloy - do you remember the chap who had a Vincent 'White Lightning' which was all chrome and alloy - looked like a Christmas tree and Solvol used to use his bike in advertising.

It's amazing what will bring up the chrome. I have used Hob Cleaner to bring Tar of my Exhaust heat shield on the NT 1100 and it works great. I'm lucky my bike the Honda NT 1100 doesn't have much in the way of chrome or ally. Always used that Autosol on my Honda Honda 550 K3 a long time ago. Have you tried Duraglit, don't know if it still exists though. Thanks for the Sub. Cheers

Hi Tony, after 2 years you would think that it would need replacing but no still as good as the day I bought her. After cleaning,I spray her with GT85 and wipe down, and it makes the garage smell lovely
Do you remember duraglit my mum had us all 5 lads 3 girls polishing her brasses what she hung up over the chimney breast ,wondering if duraglit would do the job on the bike 👍✅🤩
