Congratulations on a stunning and ever growing collection. My wife decreed a halt to mine, but I’m still grateful for your videos over the years that turned me on to Journe, Gronefeld, Czapek and others. Thanks to your channel I learned when to move quickly and made very few mistakes. Bravo to a marvelous collection Bill. 🥂
Wonderful choices Bill, I'm still learning, I'm at the right place to learn thanks Bill. All amazing pieces a broad range gives me food for thought. Enthralled watching .
Wow! That is without a doubt the most interesting collection I have seen. I'd probably only wear the VC 1921 out of these, but I can clearly see what you were going for. Well done! Enjoy them all!
Lemon Tree ... you'd love to wear the Lyrique Étude N°1, FP Journe Chronomete Souvrain, H. Moser Endeavour, Urban Jürgensen Jules, Lang & Heyne Friedrich II ... and for travel, the Parmigiani Fleurier Hemisphere... actually all of them are fun to wear and the '21. Take care, Bill
Wow ! Great collection !! Lots of watches. The FP Journe CS my favorite! The service is going to be expensive -$2,000 to $3,000. Thank you for the content. Getting only one watch this year. I just ordered it - - LF ORIGIN w micro wablue dial , Geneva stripes in white gold. Still only 5 watches. Best Bill
Hi Bill, Your watches are elegant inside and out. My favorite is your Van Cleef & Arpel Heur ice & heur d’ ailleur because it is by far the best looking jumping hours, repeating minutes and dual time is the icing on the petit four!
Bill, this is a fantastic collection from some awesome high-end independent watch-makers. The pieces are beautiful and well-curated. Thanks for showing it!
I loved this. It's so refreshingly different from most of the rest of UA-cam watch channels with their obsession with hype watches and vulgar "flexing". Would I be right to say that a lot of your watches have elements of very classical and very modern design combined in a single watch? More power to your elbow!
It's kind of interesting just now , enjoying your video here on your collection to see your bespoke watch at the end strike me as maybe my favorite to the eye . Point is I got that sense like , " Oooooo " , just before being reminded that it was your clubs concept . Your collaboration was a success in my opinion . A simply dazzling design . No wonder you are soo jazzed by it !
What a great diversified collection! I especially enjoyed the timepieces from Bovet and FPJourne. No Rolex and Omega I noted. My collection consists mainly of Rolexes (4 different models), Omegas and Breitlings. Now wanting to explore more classical looks and different complications: Breguet, Bovet, Ulysse Nardin,… I have not had the time to really look for a moonphase but will do in a few months. Great channel as always!
As long as you enjoy your watches, it doesn't matter what you collect Peter... but I do believe that diversity and exploration broadens the watch collector's enjoyment. Take care, Bill
Superb! And visibly looked after ! Thanks a lot for sharing - my only regret is you not showing the back of the H Moser: my dream watch, just love both the simple dial and not so simple movement :D
A wonderful collection. Your channel is so much better in content and style than many other watch appreciation UA-cam channels. Can't figure why you don't have many more subscribers. I suppose loud and full of 'personality' is more popular. Keep on keeping on and thank you.
Thanks Duncan. Most collectors like to hear more about Rolex, Omega and similar brands. I'm more focused on interesting horology and movement design. Not working on hits, just enjoying talking about watches. Take care, Bill
Honestly, still no 'Hulk.' Heh heh, great collection Bill and thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. For me, even amongst such horological royalty, that Habring still stands out. What a fantastic, unpretentious proposition a Habring is.
Congrats on your collection Bill! I kick myself for not getting an FP Journe when they were still semi-affordable... I love the research and stories that go into each of your purchases. Fantastic, eclectic, and personal collection :).
We all kick ourselves for missed opportunities. I know a guy who owned a FPJ, sold it shortly after he bought it and didn't get to see it soar 500% ... I got lucky; missed out on others, Paul. Take care, Bill
8:45 The words "grand feu" are used for enamel dials. This is the most elaborate technique for making enamel dials. I think you mean the hands are "heat blued" instead of chemically blued, which is cheaper. What a collection, congrats. Kind regards from Switzerland, Cyrill
I see now CB. Your reference was to the 'blued hands' on the regulator that I mentioned were heat blued and not chemically don ... I said 'grand feu' and I should have known better. Take care, Bill
That's a lot of synthetic sapphire and many proprietary lubricants for someone afraid of Silicon. I hope none of those parts are made with MEMS and would be hard to replace without modern production capability.
Mr CasiOak... hey, all of the other components you mentioned are fine. Silicon hairsprings have huge advantages ... non-magnetic, maintain their shape better in heat and cold ... in most cases probably a more accurate watch. Most silicon hairsprings are too brittle to adjust with a curb regulator, and I got all the silicon I could want in Quartz watches and in smart watches ... and far more accurate than any mechanical watch. If you want watches stuffed with silicon hairsprings, knock yourself out ... I chose otherwise. Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci The freesprung balance wheel can be regulated traditionally, just not with a curb regulator. Additionally Omega has added the spirate system, which allows tuning of the spring tension, allowing for fine adjustment with a single screw, by units of 1/10 of a second a day. Not fetishizing it, just not afraid of it being in one of my watches.
@@mrcasioak1521 Nobody is afraid; your term-an intentional cheap shot. I don't care for plastic plates and bridges either. A well curated collection! I must admit, I was surprised to see the Bovet Mono-Rattrapante in your collection. My impression had been you tended to avoid Chronographs and the likes. But if you were to have one in the collection, I am not surprised to see it be a Bovet! And one that you seemed to have found under very unique circumstances!

Impressive the knowhow you acquired with your collection. Very diverse, maybe the only common line is the search for the movement speciality. Compliment
I find the most beauty in a watch that uses simplicity elegantly, Alberto. Take care, Bill
Amazing collection, Bill. I just added a CVDK because of your recommendation. Enjoy this great collection. Bill, what do you make of the return of Daniel Roth? Also, as a fellow CT collector… I would be happy to take the Chrono off your hands
Hi CJ, the DR Chrono is gone ... was planning to send it to auction, but two different people wanted it and I have a different DR in mind. CT Collectors are the Best! Take care Bill
Amazing collection Bill, wear them in great health. A lot of grail watches, excellent and high horology watches there :D
Wear them in great health, and have a great weekend!
Abdul, as soon as you get home, let me know, and I'll see about having your collection enhanced!😉 Take care, Bill
Hi Michael, yes, I am no chronograph fan. Maybe an AgenGraphe, but even that would require me to think twice. Take care, Bill
Love your Harry Winston!
Thanks Rel! You can find some great deals (and great watches) in the pre-Swatch HWs! Take care, Bill
Stunning collection, Bill. Congrats. My only recommendation would be to add a nice 10ATM Luxury sports watch, such as Rolex Datejust 36.
Adam, it'd just sit in the case if I got one. Now an AirKing... that's the one I like. Take care, Bill
Awesome collection, that Lyrique is such a surprise!
Hey Joofmagoof! Thanks man! Take care Bill
I need a drink. Mainly because I'm dehydrated from drooling on my laptop for 22 minutes.
😅 Chin up; hydrate Bob! Take care, Bill
Your collection is amazing. How much have you invested in all pieces put together?
Chandan, hard to remember all the purchases, but whatever I have invested seems a lot less than current prices. Take care, Bill
the Resonance is still my favorite in your collection. Not sure anything will change my opinion on that. cheers
It's still a horological wonder to me too JR. Take care, Bill
Quite a variety there. The FPJ resonance would be a grail watch for me. Lang & Heyne my second favorite, along with of course the Lyrique.
Thanks Kirk ... I think my Lyrique comes first! Take care, Bill
Amazing!
Thanks! Dan! Take care, Bill
Great collection and taste in Watches
Thank you kindly MrB! Take care, Bill
Well put together,Bill. What what you sell if you had to
The chronographs and once-loved and used watches that I no longer wear John. Take care, Bill
A first rate collection curated by a great collector who appreciates his timepieces. I actually miss the collection reviews you used to make a while back, take care and enjoy the hobby.
Hi FFA, people seem to like the 'Vest-Pocket' videos the most, and so I quit doing the collection reviews. Take care, Bill
Hi, may I know what does "souverein" mean?
I know chronometre means precision but adding a souverein after that confuse me
Hello B. Moon! It just means 'royal leader' ... like a king/queen, emperor or tsar. Rolex has its crown on the watch crown, Audemars Piguet has the 'Royal Oak,' and FPJ has its 'Royal Chronometer'...just a name. Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci Thx very much for the explanation. So it's only just an subjective adjective added to the naming. I thought it served a function or representing something.
Again, thx for the clarification
I often give you sht about your watch selection but you do have an amazing collection. Hat's off to you Bill! Some of them arent really my style design-wise but then again, you said correctly, if you want a good price, gotta look for odd-ball pieces and compromise somewhere.
Alexander, I do what I encourage others to do; don't listen to the herd-get the watches you want. That's what I do too. Take care, Bill
A collection of a true connaisseur
Hey CB, thanks man! Take care, Bill
That Harry Winston is pretty wild. Are those hinged lugs or are they fixed to the case?
Hi CT, yep the hinged lugs are part of the case but swivel. Take care, Bill
oooh.. how i wish for a piece of high horology
Save and wait Luis... when one comes your way at the right time and price, it will be yours. Take care Bill
Eclectic mastery in watch collecting
Thank you Russell! Take care, Bill
Stunning collection Bill
Thanks man! Appreciate it Steven! Take care, Bill
I think you should upgrade your regulator to the Jazzmaster Regulator Auto you pointed out to me. What do you think?
Daniel, I love the Jazzmaster Regulator! Just a flat out cool watch. Take care, Bill
Dr Bill,
I note that you haven't taken the plunge on Either a Senator or an A Lange und Sohne. I'm sure the German would be easier to pronounce! Any interest in Glashutte at all?
Check this out Dan: ua-cam.com/video/1nAu1ZFu5aM/v-deo.html Rolf used to work for A. Lange, Tutima and H. Moser. A legend in German watch making. Take care, Bill
thank you sir for showing us unique handsome watches that is beyond the stereotypical rolex ap diver chrono
My pleasure, How! Take care, Bill
Congrats on a great collection Bill. Great video too. Since you asked (and only because you did) I think you should get rid of your Lyrique Etude No. 1 and sell it to me. Just kidding….or not. Cheers Bill.
Thanks Rafael! Take care, Bill
Good video
Hey Frank, thanks man! Take care, Bill
Horrible watch collection- worst ever- 😂 lol kidding great collection of multiple styles and complications, love it
Yeah, Maelob ... just can't afford those watches you rich guys have...🥲 Take care, Bill
lovely
Thanks Planet! Take care, Bill
I just thought this was coming!
Hope you like what arrived, Waffler! Take care, Bill
🎉🎉🎉
Wow. You have all that I want but don’t have 😅
Your young Amatrice. Patience and a tolerant wife. Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci 😂😂. Have both but no dosh😂. Bill I’m sure you have some serious insurance on that FP Journe with salmon dial. That model is a legend.
Can Pierre Arpel dual time zone 42mm dial be good on small wrist, say on your wife? What an coincident that VC Historic 1921 is also my only other consideration and you put in the same slide :)
It wears small Min. The '21 comes in a 36mm version as well. Take care, Bill
I will keep the fp journe, bovet, vacheron, lang& heyne and h moser
Not the Urban Jürgensen, Lyrique and Chanel, Junior?🥲 Take care, Bill
beautiful collection, just be careful as another youtuber recently had his collection stolen from his safe after posting videos showing a foreign trip to watch shows
Mark, mine go into a bank's vault when I am away for any length of time. Beside, we have bears in the neighborhood... Take care, Bill
What! Bill has two Chronographs?
Rog, I just sold one. I feel better too. Take care, Bill
you should get a laurent ferrier or a patek
I don't know about Pateks after 2009, Planet ... once they started stuffing silicon hairsprings in their watches they ceased to be a company that cared about traditional horology and sought a shortcut in the same way that Swatch did. Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci bill what areyour top 3 watch brands?
@@planetearth8095 H. Moser et Cie, FP Journe and Lyrique [Lyrique is pretty limited; so I'll add Urban Jürgensen, Lang & Heyne (only watches Marco Lang made) Vaceron Constantin .... and a bunch of brands that are unaffordable to me...]
@@watchartsci nice bill always admire your opinions
No patek or rolex, incredible.
No regrets on that account Goonie. Take care, Bill
