    Ah, Ardnamurchan, stunning place and love a wild camp on a beach with fire ( it looked like a scene from Macbeth with you guys sitting round it) ;-) I've earmarked another couple of spots there for my next trip too..it really does merit a few days there as you said. Great stuff ..keep it coming. A

      Yes i must go back , Macbeth.....my mate Mick was in the new version , as an extra. Might get out next week and then a month of solid work , not get out till the 19th of october. Deserve a new tent after all that work.

    we drove to sanna without the Corran ferry.a truly beautiful beach and the scenery around here was amazing.we had temperature of around 80 degrees and still couldn't go in the water. I didn't think camping was allowed under any circumstances here.
    thanks for reminding me of one of my best days out ever

    What a beautiful place, I haven't camped on a beach in years! On my bucket list there's definitely "going all over the UK, hiking and camping"! :D

    A stunning place Eddie, I wouldn't mind a few more beach camps but not in summer as the bugs are a nightmare lol...Nice footage as always, that fire looked the business. I hope the new camera treating you well, I'm just dusting down the wide angle samyang lens for those dark clear skies 😊. Take care, Dave

      Miles from anywhere Thanks Dave
      i didn't mention it but we had a fantastic night sky you could see the milky way clearly. My first experience of ses flies , i left inner doors open i won't do that on the beach again. Hope by winter i know how to take some decent night shots.Thanks for watching and atb.

    Good to see you enjoying my neck of the woods Eddie. On way to Arisaig you'll have passed my house...toot toot! Best camping spots up Glenfinnan are a couple of miles further up the glen around the bothy. Looking forward to next part. Mike

      789789 D I've been told about the camping spots twice now , should have done more research before i go . May go back esp since i can get train lol. Alot of nice houses in a lovely area Mike....a cup of tea would have been geat !! Atb.

      If you do i recommend you look up the UA-cam vids of Peanmeanach, which is a bothy by the beach with grass or sand wildcamping all around it. Path starts about 2 miles from Lochailort Station. Just make sure you tell the guard that you want the train to stop! Atb

    I sometimes complain about our weather but just imagine if we had tropical sunshine here all summer, half the world would be flying over here and completely running a stunning beach like this. It looked brilliant and must admit, although I have be to Fort William a canny few times, never been over the this beach, its a must next time. I thought it was a sea otter at the end but just read your comment below, either way, real lucky to see it. Unusual church at the end, not seen one like it and I love exploring old churches and graveyards. The end of this video was the beginning of one I saw a couple of days back, when you were rain/tent bound and I was unable to leave a comment. Preferred this one mind lol! Cheers Alan

      @ScotsWildcamper  7 років тому +1

      Yes the weather and midges keep the tourists down. Videos don't do the landscape justice even the drive-in is breathtaking. Yes the sun is better but bad weather is part of the wildcampers job lol. ATB Eddie.

    The insects in your tent were sand hoppers or that's what we call em down here anyway harmless but a bloody nuisance all the same, I love a beach camp as you know it looked nice and so did the burgers lol, nice chilled one Eddie, ATB George.

    • @ScotsWildcamper
      @ScotsWildcamper  7 років тому

      THE BUSPASSCAMPER Light hoppers more like George , light on they jump about mad light off its like switching them off LOL.Horrid things to have crawling about your inner tent. Steak and bourbon burgers.....lovely. 2nd beach camp this one abit less messy due to different sand. I might try a third now despite the mad hoppers.Atb.

    Glad the weather eased up for you . Beautiful part of the country and a nice to camp by the sea but those bloody midges! Nice to end the day with a good fire as well. Cheers . Austin.

    Beautiful footage Eddie! Nothing wrong with a laid-back easy trip every now and then. If midges weren't bad enough the darn sea fleas show up! The critter at the end looked like our mink. My wife and I were out kayaking today but I didn't take the camera. It was foggy this morning but cleared up and the water was calm. My wife seen a heron eat a fish and we had the ducks and kingfishers for company. A lot of songbirds have already headed south, and I seen Orion the other morning so we know what that means. Take care, Ossie

    • @ScotsWildcamper
      @ScotsWildcamper  7 років тому

      Hi Ossie yes i needed/wanted an easy trip , beautiful place. I left my inner door opened and had alot of sea flies as guests in my tent lol. Its the european mink i think , the white goatee gives it away the american mink doesn't have that i believe. Glad you had a good day you never tire of nature. We got a great night sky at the beach the best i've seen for awhile. Atb to you and family.

    Great footage Eddie, I'm heading up to Sanna on Thurs with some work colleagues (about 13 of us) for some camping, some beach camping on the sand will probably suit us best. Sanna is a stunning place

    Loads of Marks about on this one Eddie....a good old 60's and 70's name. No youtube back then either. The landscape would have appeared the same though...beautiful. The fire reminded me of 'Point Break' the movie. All renegades waiting for the wave. Cool looking video. All the best. Mark

      Wye Explorer I love the original film Mark.
      True story.....my mum wanted to call me Mark but i was the first male grandchild so was named after my Grandfather and father. I love the sound of the waves while staring at the fire in the darkness.Atb.

    A cracking area Eddie, the beaches remind me of the ones over on the Outer Hebrides. I don't fancy camping on the beach if its as bad as you said it was with jumping insects.

      TBH i wanted a relaxed trip after my last 3 slogs but i didn't bank on a headache the first 2 days , it was a good trip enjoyed it just not 100%. Socks , sandals and Saltire underwear .....even more of a sin ! Hope to get a couple of easy overnighter's done before my stint of solid work starts. October / November start the harder trips again. Take care R&D.

    wow
    sea midges, sea beetles, sea fire, sea burgers.. ..and a sea rat!
    beach camping is great! big skies! nice to see people just milling about a wild camp and not giving a toss.
    if i was to put a tent on the beach here i'd be drawn and quartered, sure.

      @ScotsWildcamper  7 років тому +1

      One women an iDIOT send the signpost says no campfires on beach , which is a LIE . It says "campfires only on beach". Yeah most people not interested as long as your sensible.I guess i'm the rat lol. Yes i'm beginning to like beach camps despite those horrid creepy crawlies , i'd rather fight wild women !!
