Have You Ever Been in a Thinking Rut? | Mary Alice the Writer

In my email this morning-
were these words
“There are things you do and think
that are no longer relevant
to who you have become.”
I know,
Think on things that are lovely,
and of good report.
But -.
Have you ever been in a thinking rut?
I’ve been there.
I’ve even said to God,
Give me a good thought,
I’d be glad to think it!
But the words, “no longer relevant
to who you have become.”
hit me and
That’s right!!
I had clearly
lost sight!!!
Oh me,
In some manner
this is how it seems to be:
Pressures and Pain,
Circumstances and Stresses
penetrate my rest,
and I lose sight
of what He has placed
in my breast.
How about you?
