I wonder if the chain was strategically woven and or placed instead of just thrown over the sawhorse if that would be more of an anti ballistic challenge. Interesting idea.
Pink tip is a tracer, it really doesn't have much in the way of penetration and "punch", and 5.56 is a light round anyway, well-known to fragment easily. Yellow tips are "observation rounds", intended to flash and "fireball" to mark hits more easily downrange, so, like the pink tips, fragment easily. The 7.62.54R PZ round, similarly, is a "spotter-incendiary round"...again, made to disintegrate and flash brightly to mark hits. The .50BMG Yellow over Red round, would be the XM156, Spotter-Tracer, once again, made to blow up (quite literally, as it has a primer in the hollow-point) and flash/fireball quite noticeably. NONE of these rounds was ever really going to go through all that chain except in the case of a very lucky squeek though a couple of links.
Glad yall are back. Saw your post about this being a repost to keep the channel alive but its all good bros, still looking forward to new content from yall 👍
Glad to see you back in the row guys! Gosh! I'm missed you a lot. Each your video is like you back to good old pal, with a pack of the beer, when you sitting in the garage and chatting about boys things and stuff. Thanks for your videos, and god bless you!
That last one looked like a standard .50bmg API round to me. What y'all think? Also, if you wanna hit the 200k sub mark, you're gonna need start throwing more content out there...fellers. long time subscriber here and nice to see another great video from you nuts! Keep em comin!!!
I think that last round was "just" an AP. Great slow motion shots, and the music with the slow motion always goes hard on your videos. Keep up the good work and have fun.
Also another weird thing I have noticed is that certain videos will default to 240. It's happened on other channels too. 1982, and first computer was at 5 years old. So do the math you tube.
I’m pretty sure it defaults to whatever your network connection can handle without buffering. The max resolution however depends on what the channel owner uploads it at. But I could be wrong.
You were very early, when a video is first uploaded, the lower quality settings sometimes are available before the higher quality. Doesn't always happen, probably related to traffic
10:02 it bent the link below it, causing it to pull the chain and it bent open the link above it. That bent open link was previously hit and cracked the weld at that time.
Great to see you guys again. You properly deserve 200k+! I reckon that last one must have been something like an API, but the little sparkle that you highlighted... a tungsten core perhaps?!? Hmmmm
Do you think if you shot the last .50 round in a different spot that it would’ve stopped it because it seems like Justin was hitting the same spot and it could’ve been compromised lol
Was that a ralfus .50? Good to have you back, your videos are the closest thing to getting to enjoy guns here in Scotland where you can go to prison for owning an air rifle!! Cheers guys
While obviously not proof against .50 BMG, still plan to use three staggered layers of high-tensile stud link or short link chain as armor for the wheels and tires of my WIP PAW vehicle. While not absolute protection, I believe the chains, suspended in an ark at the top and connected at the bottom will either stop or deflect most rounds likely to be encountered in the PAW. Between the strength of the chain, its construction, and the fact that it can move when impacted, slowing the bullet as well as helping break it up. In this application, even if small fragments of the bullet or chain do make it to the tires, they are far less likely to penetrate the tires or damage the wheels. Certainly not foolproof, I believe it is one of the few practical ways to protect the wheels and tires on vehicles that will be subject to attack by small arms. If run-flat tires are used, as well as a central tire inflation system, I believe a vehicle would have the maximum chance of being able to exit the area where it is taking fire. Do your own due diligence research before depending on any of these suggestions. I cannot take responsibility for any results from trying these ideas. Just my opinion.
well it wasn't that shrapnel wasn't making it through initially what was happening is that it was being dispersed into tiny "harmless" sparks before the one that made it through its most vissable right after with the 50bmg because a spark bounces off the top of cans in the second layer and infact shortly before a small peice gets launched past the stack itself
It would be interesting to see if having some chains going side to side would improve its resistance. Just out of curiosity is that around 1200 pounds of chain?
Did you guys happen to open the DT casualty on the 54 RPZ and see what the can caught off camera? I'm very curious as to whether it's a piece of lead or copper from the round or a broken off chunk of steel from the chain.
It looks like the shots were pretty low. I wonder if there would be more damage if it was shot higher up, in front of the cans instead of below it (minus the 50 BMG of course). Still pretty interesting.
Yes, the boys are back. That last .50 round just did not care what it was hitting. It was coming through! 😂
Interesting, armor chain vs armor plate. Cost effective, easy replacement. More testing please
good to see you guys are back
Is this a rerun ? From a few years ago

This is exactly what I was thinking as they listed off the rounds. All I seemed to hear is "we want it to look purty when hit"
Thanks!

Appreciate that

3:14 the slight delay and then all the horses look to see what the noise was
Thunder!! ⚡️
Thanks gentlemen 🙏

Great to see you back. Thanks for the new video.
That was an AR15 50 caliber bullet at 100 rounds per magazine assault weapon!
Guess I need to get a Mosin. That 54R was pretty impressive!
Awesome video!
Glad to have you guys back!
No mercy! All we hate soda cans! :)))
I could have sworn you guys did a chain wall before❓❓
It's the same video
Same I thought I was going crazy
Same
Yes they did.
Sometimes channels re-upload because the old one got shadow banned by the algorithm
Welcome back fellas!! Hope all is well and great stuff as always
lol. That hook came sooo close to taking out the top can when it swung over the top… That would’ve been really nice…
I think that last round was "just" an AP. Great slow motion shots, and the music with the slow motion always goes hard on your videos. Keep up the good work and have fun.
Безмерно рад и счастлив, что несмотря на все вы продолжаете!
А что им может мешать?
How dare you make me think of thunderstruck lol jk great video
I think that was a Tungsten core round that had no paint on it
Also another weird thing I have noticed is that certain videos will default to 240. It's happened on other channels too. 1982, and first computer was at 5 years old. So do the math you tube.
Yeah, I've only seen it on channels UA-cam hates, mainly Guntubers and conservative leaning influencers.
Did they mention why the video is only 720p? If so I missed it

And skeedooosh you’re back. Good to see you guys. Love it.
Is this a re-upload??? Youve done this before. I remember sugesting you put chains in a sandbag to eleminate the swaying and gaps.
No maybe you are confused with a video from Edwin Sarkissian's channel, going ballistics had made a video on chain armor
Wow a original idea for video! Keep up the good work 👍
10:02 it bent the link below it, causing it to pull the chain and it bent open the link above it. That bent open link was previously hit and cracked the weld at that time.
It's great to see you guys back! Great video!
Hey, thanks!
Great to have you back!
Давно не смотрел , классная идея видео, спасибо.

Happy to see you guys back
Glad to see another video! Please keep them coming. Where's the car?
We need to find a better way to make it remotely operated. But we still have it
Missed y’all,
Very glad seeing a new video again!
Welcome back, guys! Glad to see you again. Wall of chains testing Edwin... And this stuff really good! 👍
Good to have you back gents!
Welcome back guys. Great to see you again!
Hey, thanks!
You seem like some good honest dudes and I’ve always liked watching you two. Hopefully more people subscribe to help ya’ll out🤘🏻👊🏻🇺🇸
Great to see ya'll back 🙂👍🇮🇪.... and a big thanks for the "Sparkle Farts" 😂
Legend has it that the 50 BMG round kept going through the earth and ended up on the other side of the world
3000fps isn't going to go that far lol. You need Mach 25 or something to do that.
Good to see you back with a video missed you guys.
The way the hook took off from the far side of the chain!!!!! Great shot! (camera ... haha)
Another great video guys. Good see ya back.
Thanks 👍
That mystery round had to be an APIT for sure. It didn't care what was in front of it
Glad you guys are back 💯
Wiggled just fine! Thanks for the upload!
Great video ! Straight to the point I like that
Just found your channel & subscribed, thanks for the cool content.👍🇦🇺
Welcome aboard!
Do you think if you shot the last .50 round in a different spot that it would’ve stopped it because it seems like Justin was hitting the same spot and it could’ve been compromised lol
Wow that just zipped right through. Thank for awesome video 👍
GB. Thanks, always fun video. Take care.
My dudes!!! I been hoping to see some of you guys soon. I keep checking the channel just in case.
Thanks guys. Love your content! It was an apit
Yes it was!
Deja Vu?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what is a 54r tz round? 5:45 need this in my cod meta build lol
ураа привет парни ❤😉👍 супер видос
My favorite GunTubers are back! And again having all the funs!
#GunTube #Fun
Nice meeting you at Napa the other day! Great video friend :) Thunder! Ah oh ah oh ah oh ah ohhhhh!
Right on keep on keeping on
The API will shred it. Ask me how I know:)
So you're saying that Mr T may have been on to something, if only his chains were steel and not gold?
Yeeeaaahh the boys are back in town👍👍👍
Was that a ralfus .50? Good to have you back, your videos are the closest thing to getting to enjoy guns here in Scotland where you can go to prison for owning an air rifle!! Cheers guys
Hello, not a raufoss round. Sad you can’t own a gun but at least you don’t have mass shooters in your beautiful country.
@GoingBallistic well thats true now, not had one since 1994, after that they totally killed the gun enthusiasts chances!!
They used to drape army tanks With chains it helps their armor.
Welcome back guys 👍 how’s the renovation going?
Almost done. I need to do another couple videos because we are now living here.
Definitely interesting
Ap round, nice to see you guys again. Be safe.
Re Last Round: I reckon definitely API

Welcome back!
... and the last was a rauffos? Was it?
well it wasn't that shrapnel wasn't making it through initially

Thumbs up soon as i got here, cause i know the 📽 is going to be entertaining as well as informative.
I’m going to guess a non-incendiary armor piercing round. I’m sure it wasn’t a slap round, because those have gotten very difficult to find.
Этот ролик уже был на канале или мне кажется?
Great vid. How's the homestead coming along?
Chain ain't cheap...appreciate your financial sacrifice for our entertainment! 🇺🇸
I knew there was a reason I worn my Going Ballistics shirt today
Awesome
Thank you for the entertainment
I nearly made a bet that nothing would go true, I thought to be safe behind the chains. !
I'd say that last round was a Armor Piercing round.
the chains be like... "huh? what was that? "
Volvieron al fin Felicitaciones 🎉😊
It would be interesting to see if having some chains going side to side would improve its resistance. Just out of curiosity is that around 1200 pounds of chain?
Happy to see more videos love it glad to see you guys
Wall of Chain turned out to be more effective than I thought
Its an anti-materiel round designed to penetrate through armor on combat vehicles... what do you think will happen?
отличный выпуск, было интересно!
You had me at Dr Thunder
You should have put a paper target in front of the chains so you would have a better idea where it went in.
Did you guys happen to open the DT casualty on the 54 RPZ and see what the can caught off camera? I'm very curious as to whether it's a piece of lead or copper from the round or a broken off chunk of steel from the chain.

API round is my guess. Another great video🤙
This guys humor is off the chart. Hahahahaha, spare me.
anchor chain nets over tanks to thwart the drone grenades
Last one was either AP or M33 ball 😮
Считаю эксперемент не завершённым без теста пробития Руфусом

Man that's the damn only a Ralphis round could do.
Timeless footage.
