i got annoyed by all the movement songs being separate videos so i join them together with screenshots of my playthrough and some fade-in and out effects
no i dont own the songs
i recommend playing slay the princess though
The shifting mound never scared me, but rather it did always make me feel welcome. She always spoke with softness and compassion. To the point that I almost missed her each time I’d reset. So many paths, and yet each one leads to her, the dark and cold surroundings contrasted by her warm and inviting demeanor. I love the Mound, yet can we truly be together? I represent tradition and procedure and she represents change and chaos. We are diametrically opposed, to coexist is to hurt one another, and yet though this is the case I can not condemn her. Though I existed before her, I feel that now to exist without her would be to exist without meaning. I the Long Quiet, made the Shifting Mound whole, and want to ensure she gains perspective enough that we may coexist.
She just sounds like a good person in general to me tbh
See, I think it's almost strange that I was never frightened by the mound, but always intrigued me. The track filled me like the reassurance of a friend forgotten by time, and the way she was always so truthful and open to you, and how willingly she put her life in your hands, how could I not feel close to this distant entity?
One of my favorite phrases that was what really made me think twice about her was "You are all I have ever known" It hit harder than I like to admit
The shiftless mound is one of my favorite horrific entities in fiction. Her form and theme are simply harrowing, but her voice actress made her seem larger than life. What an amazingly beautiful and terrifying monster they concocted
Terrifying? I was never scared of her, not after the first meeting at least. She should beautiful... and I don't (just) mean the princess. Especially conceptually, she's nothing to fear.
@zachrabaznaz7687 Sure, eventually, you grow to sympathize with her over time, but I still think she's pretty terrifying even conceptually. Being in her presence would be an incredibly overwhelmingly harrowing experience. I get it though, everyone has different things that scare us. I find mooses to be majestic and beautiful creatures, but when you see one up close they are pretty scary.
@@zachrabaznaz7687 i know imma sound like a weirdo after saying this but she gives me motherly vibes in a way.
@@funguy3259 that's not weird that's definitely the point
I agree, she does look weird and disproportionate, but with all her eldritch-ness, she's welcoming and caring at the very bottom. She can even love, which is a big thing. It is also implied that even her final form is just a pale imitation.
Something finds me on the Internet and brings me the gift of a calming theme.
This is brilliant
This game is indeed a masterpiece...
Indeed
Amen.
Been using this for sleeping and mindfulness, you're a godsend. Song is so hauntingly beautiful.
Her voice is hauntingly beautiful I LOVE it
Thanks a bunch! Was hoping someone could put these together for easy listening, thx dude 😊
No problem man
I did myself a favor by playing this game, now I'll do myself another one by listening to this.
This is so relaxing. I love it. I could fall asleep to this.
Same
I AM falling asleep to this
I think I really loved her as well
The Shifting Mound never scared me, but always gave me mixed and uneasy feelings. Even though she is not evil, her ways DO cause harm (to people, for instance, whom she deems unworthy) and she doesn't seem to care 'bout the consequences of her actions, sayin' that changes are necessary and must be done. The Long Quiet's motives are slightly more acceptable, even if they mean a stale universe at the end of the day. Sometimes it really feels that behind all the love she gives to us, all the endless cascade of smiles, she is pursuing her own agenda, and kinda _uses_ the Long Quiet for it. Exploits, even. Sure she might not be malevolent, but she indeed contains it within her multitudes. It's very hard to explain 😵💫
not really remember that she is death and death can be a achieve by a multitude of ways but in the end when everything is quiet you sleep the eternal sleep and is peaceful and that is her
@@crusaderpr7683 I remember The Shifting Mound also contains death within herself. Can she reverse it though? I think she refers to destruction as "merely reshaping". Can she give life, if she can take it away?
Thank you for this gift you've given gladly,
I wanted to try writing a poem for you but it was driving me madly.
Omg I love you so much!! TY for this video
You’ve grown
This music is a haunting kind of soothing....
Thanks for the compilation :)
Oh, holy shit, I don't normally have headphones on... didn't realize these songs have audio that shifts which angle it comes from.
thank you!!
Thank You very much for this.
Does anyone know what kind of music genre is this called?
i would like to know too
it sounds like opera but since is ambient is like the music you hear on siren songs that composers make
Thanks :)
So there's a different track played for each path?
No, you get these as you bring the vessels to the shifting mound. You'll hear these five tracks regardless of your paths as long as you reach the finale.
@@felipdn3329 oh so five tracks for the 5 replays through the game ?
@@blueberry8288 if by replays you mean the 5 perspectives you bring to the mound, then yes
What is the name of this song? It's really good.
They are all called movements with a number starting from 1 to 5. Each fade-in is a different movement
yeah they all sound the same but after 3 it starts to sound different
∜∜∜∜∜∜∜∜ love it
I love how you didn't even bother making the text a color other than white, which made it very difficult to actually read wherever it intersects with the white on the Princess's dress.
I m not sure what the indirect message you are trying to say but like you can see the letters in the fade in and fade out effects
I don't do a lot of video editing
Debatably it doesn't matter since when the screen fades black you can see it but yeah.
