He really doesn't need 250 armor, the fire revert and passive buffs were good enough.
Yep. Revert the armor back to 150 but keep the passive and fire buff and I think that would be the best balance. Also his passive buff makes him more fun in Total Mayhem now.
So nice of blizz to buff him back up to where everyone was complaining about him

He’s now good as is. Isn’t oppressive as before but also can survive longer

It feels like they keep doing too much at once sometimes, if they wanted to up his survivability for comp then they probs could have just given him the armour buff and then see how that goes, but they (for some reason) feel the need to do too many changes to heroes at once and then we get these heroes that seem to ping pong from OP to unplayable patch to patch sometimes
I like that they are making very fast changes.
@@D_Jilla So am I, I feel the issue sometimes is that they buff or nerf a few too many aspects of a hero in a single patch which ends up throwing that hero into being a little too powerful or a little too unerpowered, like overbuffing underperforming heros and nerfing problematic heros at the time into the ground. I feel they can just be a bit overkill sometimes

I'm sorry but if you have to mirror to have a chance to contest a hero, that's not fun. Plus, he forces supports to be pure healbots and put every resource just into him. I've seen my dps dying so often because we had to keep Mauga alive and it breaks my heart tbh cause I feel like I fail them now. I'm gonna see how the next bext few weeks turn out to be once people have adapted better etc but right now I find it super boring to play alongside a Mauga and horrible to play against one
not really just get better and learn how to play him you don’t need both of the supports to heal bot

Zarya and Dva are both effective against him, as is JQ, in my experience. Basically, just don't let him sit and fire at you constantly, and he'll be pretty easy to take down. Ana and Zen destroy him, reaper can be pretty good too.

Charge, stun, hitscan, huge armor and health pool, unkillable when pocketed, shield break, bastion-level damage up close, lifesteal... You seriously cant give him the best of every world and think it's balanced right? The only things he's lacking are verticality and projectile eating/blocking.
what annoys me is how tiny his head actually is. doing body shots is virtually useless, headshotting forces him back to get healed but it’s so weirdly small
Its a tank. They WANT u to shoot his body. Look at ball. Barely popping out their head.
they managed to make the tank role even less fun now. And Mauga is not even fun to play, Mauga vs Mauga feel like whoever has the better supports.
Tank is the most fun it's been in a good while, mate! just focus less on duelling their tank and more on pressuring the rest of their team.

@@mrjong-pildasong1468 lmao, the moment I saw my tank and the enemy tank saying "I respect u for not going mauga", you just know this hero is shitty for almost everyone.
Playing supports is not fun with a Mauga either, you have to constantly pocket him, leaving little times to do anything else.
Other tanks vs Mauga match up is also miserable, this is why I refused to Q as tank until Mauga is nerf.
Why did they make overrun completely unstopable? Not hack, sleep, another dash stops him. Nothing

Well the game is not called Overkill its called Overwatch. It’s a game where you work together to win fights. Similar to Winston, unless given opportunity to fully 1v1 his weapon feels weak asl too.

Why do you jump 100% of the time? Makes it very hard to watch with all that extra movement. Never seen a GM jump constantly before. Mauga the most boring tank to watch, especially Mauga mirror. Shame they added another orisa to the game with braindead CD cycling instead of something interesting to play and watch.

Love that mauga is exposing bad players. This calls out all of the tank shooters in overwatch. Stop shooting tank and just kill his supps to widdle down his leverage first.

Maybe because they´re investigating a bug where if you select them after buying you cant switch back.
Honestly I think these buffs put him in a perfect place. His damage isn't oppressive like it was before but the new bit of poke viability and better survivability have definitely made him more viable and feel better.
It’s literally nightmare playing against him as a tank that not him. If you are playing something like sigma then your shield will always be down and you won’t be able to do any damage since you are using the flux on cooldown. Don’t even think about playing Hog, rein, Winston, Orisa, and ball against him since you actually can’t play.
@@anarchistmaverick9507 Really? I haven't had too much trouble so far playing into him as Sigma. That ofc plays into just knowing the right mechanics and such but I think he still has counters to him that work.

And they still don't let doom punch in his alt yes im not the best Doom but I still have 150 hours on him and out of all the times he has used alt on me I have only lived once and then not even cause of me it was cause my sombra used emp on it like is it to much to ask for for doom to be able to use his abilities in the alt so I can at least try live

@@tau-5794He is literally one of the strongest heroes in the game when played to his full potential, though. Only problem is that there's like, 6 people who can play him to that level.
@@edwardking9359 The problem is they keep buffing or nerfing all the wrong parts of his kit. They want him to be a mindless punchbot, but his stats are just too weak to allow that playstyle. So he has to be played as a hyper-mobile flanking dive tank, yet very little of his kit actually benefits that niche, so unless you have near-perfect timing, aim, and gamesense he just melts or is unable to actually kill anyone.
@tau-5794 His kit is what allows that playstyle to even be possible, mate. The extra health from landing abilities also plays into that style. They want him to be aggressive, but have that playstyle be hard to pull off, otherwise playing against him would be incredibly annoying.
Reaper eats him for breakfast. Been playing alot of GM5-4 games since he's been playable in comp and reaper counters him hard. He is a massive ult battery and reaper can get into his face and face tank him for a long time and just wraith out if shiet hits the fan and that's 60% ult charge. In every game i played reaper had +20K dmg just by shooting mauga . Although in open maps with snipers that's much harder to do.

Extremely killable. Zen and Ana both completely destroy him, and any kind of focused fire can kill him extremely quickly.
The dude not that op idk what people are talking about. Play him into a good diva and see what happens.
