Remember early AoT, when we thought theDOGS would play at the end when Eren defeats all the Titans, saves humanity and probably sacrifices his life in the process? theDOGS would play as the Scouts mourn Eren and he's hailed a hero. Good times! The actual ending kind of does that, except Eren kills humanity and is remembered as a devil by the surviving 20%.
