    I really hope you will review the Oyster 3 soon! I feel the Oster 3 and Balios S lux are for the same kind of needs: folds rather small to fit well in a medium-size car, with the seat facing both ways, for city and light off-reading (park trails etc.) and would love to compare the construction on both models. Thank you so much for all your independent reviews, they are enlightening :)

      I just bought the Balios S Lux about 2 weeks ago and we love it. It drives wonderfully on ALL TERRAIN and turns on a dime. I do find trying to close it a little cumbersome and requires both hands. When folded, it is a little bulky and the straps to adjust the thread IS A NIGHTMARE. What a pain it is to release the thread. I bought it mainly because it fully reclines and the footrest is adjustable. My 13 month old only sleeps in the stroller during the day and this stroller allows him to sleep fully straight w/o his legs hanging.
      The canopy also has a large peek-a-boo that I leave open to allow airflow so he won't get too hot/sweaty. The other cool feature is that the handle telescopes to 43" tall which is great when dad is 6'4" tall. I also like that it is tall enough where he can sit at the table if we're out unlike other strollers that does not sit as tall. That said, unfortunately he is going to out grow this stroller pretty soon. He's too tall for his age and so its not going to serve my needs much longer. But I really like the stroller, the color too. I got the Soho Gray I think is what is called.

      The Balios S Lux stroller suspension system is awesome compared to the Nuna and Uppababy strollers. We were able to drive it on all terrains, push and turn with one hand, and it was a dream. We returned it mainly because of a lack of accessories (footmuff and seat liner). Would prefer an all-season seat but the only one that offers that is Nuna strollers and they're too small for my baby. My now 19-month old baby is 32", weights 30#, and is too big for all their products. The only one he fits the best is the Nuna Tavo Next but I really want a forward/rear sea because he's still young. So, we're still w/o a stroller. The Nuna Mixx Next is beautiful but on the small end. Definitely made for those smaller European babies. We tried it a few weeks ago and he looks like a giant in the Mixx Next stroller. And the calf support is non-existence. It buckles in the middle and its super flimsy. For that price, it's so poorly made and designed I think. We do not like the Uppababy Cruz v2 much either because of the bucket seat. Kids are never flat and their legs are always bent up high when the seat is reclined, but they do have a bigger seat and canopy and a good range of accessories. So, we may go with the Cruz v2, not because we like it, but because it's the only one that really accommodates our large baby. And because I think all the hype of the Uppababy stroller is overrated, I really hate to buy the Cruz v2, but I think we may have to go with that stroller. Oh, and the all-wheel terrain is not really there. Between the Balios S Lux, Nuna Mixx Next, Nuna Tavo Next, Vista 2 or Cruz v2, in my opinion, the Balios S Lux drives better than all of them except the Tavo Next. It drives very nice. Hope that helps. We're still undecided and really need to get on this or he's going to be too old for a stroller pretty soon.

    Better Balios S Lux or Joolz Hub+, also considering price and resale value?

    Would love to see the Maxi-Cosi Adorra 2 and/or the Maxi-Cosi Adorra 2 Luxe ( chrome and better fabrics I think) review. I think that I was abble to spot some of the problems you highlighted on other brands/models, but I think it could be a good alternative to the Cybex Balios S Lux ( that it looks "weaker" structurally).

    Hi - cheers for the reviews, they're brilliant. Though, they do sometimes leave more questions unanswered! For example, the Balios S Lux does get great reviews generally, but non really seem to look at the mechanical side....so your reviews do open that up, but do leave me scratching my head!! Anyway, have you any experience fixing, using etc any Jané models - specifically the Crosswalk R, Trider or Epic? Also, any thoughts on the Bumbleride Era? Love the presentations - superb style!

      Thanks, glad you like our videos. That's sort of our niche, our business is completely built on repair, and we don't use affiliate marketing, run a web-store or accept sponsorship / payment for positive reviews. If you find another reviewer recommending the Balios S who can say the same, please let me know ;) Jane models are trash, imo, Bumbleride is a bit better, but for the price there are better options. :)

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo - Wow - that's a brutal assessment r.e. Jane!! Am guessing you think they're all whistles and bells and not much substance! Ah well, back to the drawing board in the stroller search then! Get what you mean about the reviews - far too many folks showing unboxing, what they do - but then they don't go out and about and give the strollers a real good go in the world outside. Anyhow, cheers dude for the response - appreciated!

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 роки тому

      Right on, best of luck! I'm just going to clarify my answer for anyone reading this thread in the future :) The problem with all of the Jane models you mentioned (and I know they have other models that don't do this, but they have their own faults) is that 'floaty' look created by just having a single, rear-positioned connection between the handle / seat unit and the lower portion of the chassis (Mutsy does this too, only the connection point on their strollers is at the front end). This is done for stylistic purposes and does nothing for the functionality of the model, and the trade-off is a tremendous amount of pressure put on the handle, and in particular the hinged handle-adjustment mechanisms (which often loosen or break as a result).

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo do you also have a review on the Mutsy Nio/i2? We’re narrowing down our selection and happy to see this review since friends of ours have the Balios but only for 6 months. We live in Belgium so the cobblestone roads are everywhere. But I think down to the Joolz day+ and the Mutsy EVO.

    Do the foam wheels really make for a smooth ride? I love to stroller walk daily and was considering the Priam but this looked more all-terrain and practical. Or do you have another brand you would recommend that’s compatible with an infant car seat?

      Wonderful question! :) I've been planning to do a video on this in relation to good used market purchases. While some brands, of course, just build better than other brands,in the long-run, it really all comes down to models (and often even just models during a specific period of their update history). Currently, I would say that the 5 models that have held up the longest are the Babyzen Yoyo, the Babyjogger City Elite, the Bugaboo Buffalo, the Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle (pre-handbrake only), and Emmaljunga models built on the classic chassis (only those before the shift from 12 to 14 inch wheels).
