I remember hearing her and just being so amazed, impressed and hypnotized in a sense at the power, technique, vocal range and control, perfect pitch and sound. I thought “Wow,” this voice is absolutely incredibly perfect. If God has a singing voice this would be it. 30 years later and I adore her talent just as much as I did back then and immensely adore her as an individual. Celine only sang live twice, in Montreal 1996 and in Memphis 1997. Compare this version with the recording and you will hear clearly because in 1996 and 1997 her voice was very clear and bright, not strained or hoarse like that. Although I am also a fan of Celine, we have to admit that because it is one of the ways that she and the experts have come up with to ensure that her voice is always sustainable and healthy.
