I have an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering qualifications and a maintenance technical experience. Is going for masters in Industrial Engineering a good approach and a promising career path for me when compared to Mechanical Engineering. Thanks.
Is industrial engineering flexible in terms of organization development. Say a government organization or a service. Do IE focus on the people and structure of an organization to improve efficiency where a "supply chain" isn't really applicable? 🤔
I’m a mechanical engineer and I want to earn my masters in industrial engineering but I’m a little worried that I won’t find a suitable job and also about the salary in the future as an industrial engineer. So what do you think is better for the future.. mechanical engineering or industrial engineering?
@@dipteshpanchal2475 it’s actually not very hard per say compared to other core engineering fields like civil mechanical and electrical where most things are technical but it also depends from person to person this doesn’t mean that industrial has nothing technical to deal with but it has some classes like calculus 1,2,3 and 4 integrals derivatives are all like weed out classes in the first 2 years atleast also physics 1&2, chem 1&2, from the sciences in the first year unless you have previous credit hours for those subjects. Subjects like matlab, microeconomics, from 3rd year might give you an actual insight of what industrial engineering is it will also have many six sigma tools to introduce you with the basics of industrial engineering. Alot of courses also depends on the material, professor, testing pattern etc.i dont want to dig in more if you have any doubts add me on instagram @adel.nesar
Im doing a associate in Industrial to know the fundamental of Industrial Engineering (basic and so stuff) but later I will go to Mechanical Engineering in a direction in bioengineering or Automation. Not yet decided. But sounds good to mee. Some help here pls? Some thoughts here?
Why i couldn't work as an industrial engineer since 6 years? I graduated since 6 years and from that time i'm searching for entry level industrial engineering jobs in UAE but i couldn't find..i'm working as an administrative officer since a years now and still searching for my career. Anyone can advise me how? Where? Can i find an industrial engineering job??
UAE... Have you tried looking for shipping logistics, oil industry or even marketing field? Try broadening your search, IE is not only supply chain and manufacturing
I'm an Electrical Engineer. I'm working as a Maintenance Engineer. Now i'm doing MS in Industrial Engineering and Management (MS-IEM) .

I want to do industrial engineering, but I don’t want to work in a factory setting at all
Its pretty flexible so you should be able to work in other industries
Cut your hair and you’ll blend in with the other workers lmao.
You can go more into supply chains and logistics
Your dont have to work necessarily in a factory
Have you got a bachelor or master's degree?
This is fking great! U are the best!
Lot of info, thx
Is logistics/supply chain management closely related to industrial engineering?
Yes it is.
It's part of industrial engineering
