I get why the medallions got nerfed but I feel they kinda went too far with it. Just slow down the shield regen.

Yeah they aren't nearly as worth it to go after considering how hard the bosses are to kill. Better just to hold minis and a med pack again
I understand that the medals are very good but i feel like its less worth going against the "tough" boses which can get highly contested for not that much help afterwards.

@@R2D_ghost69 exactly they are hard to get especially in solo when you are fighting 20 bots at once especially at Snooty as they all swarm you pretty quick as well as Peter being able to almost completely kill you in one shot

I think they nerved them a bit too hard making it so you have to wait three seconds to heal is a great idea because it makes them less overpowered in fights but making them heal to 50 is annoying I think they should have made them go to 100 but just healed slower
i agree but its so easy to get the medals so that is something to keep in count. Maybe making bosses harder to kill could be a better nerf
@@bobjeff1243 that is a pretty good idea considering most of the time multiple people go for the medal cause it's so easy to get and it becomes a game of who can third party the others the best.

Honestly medallion nerfs were inevitable but I think it could easily have been just the heal delay and then making them heal 1 shield per second per medallion.

Love the changes, there were diff changes they could have done but I'm honestly happy with it, except for havin 2 medallions make the cap 60 like idk, i dont like that idk why but all in all great change
1. Decrease the regens speed
2. Make them require 2 of the pins to gain 100 shield
When was the last time you carried white heals before the pins? Personally i havent for years. Shields were always the way to go. Now they just revert the meta back to carrying big-shields
Honestly I like the nerfs everything was just way to OP the beams where crazy and still are. But know big shields have a purpose again and should have a purpose they always have.
New challenge: Random boss challenge: whichever boss you are, you have to go kill them and win using only their weapon while holding their medallion
Imagine if Epic Games would have added the medallions for the first time with the same shield gaining features that we have now, no one would be complaining because we would never have known that we could’ve had them give us 100 shields

I honestly love the medallion nerf because beforehand it felt like you had to land in one of the five locations and get the medallion or you would just die in the late game but now it’s more like you can land wherever and killing people with medallions is doable without requiring lots of skill

having one medallion is now weaker than minis, because in a situation where u have time to wait for passive healing to kick in, u have enough time to pop two minis, so basically u fight an overpowered boss, and have your location tracked constantly just for passive healing thats slower than minis
the worst thing about the ballistic shield is that if someone is in a bush with it, they straight up become near invincible which is hell for no builds

@more lachlan - the ship it game mode has guns in it still which sucks - you gotta pop the caches that spawn around the maps - the ones that in build/zero give the blue beacon light but in ship it! They're like the ones from a couple of seasons ago which drop in legendary/epic and so on.
I personally think the medallion should stay the same but it still regents slower

i think they just need different effects all together personally.
imo they overnerfed them just a tad, i think a fair nerf would have been reduction in regen rate, maybe like a 2 second delay before it gets going and maybe a slightly lesser reduction in circle around the user
at this point going for the bosses is mainly for his weapon or vault the medallion is a just another thing to worry about if you want to be tracked all game
it should go back to the og size and shrinks every zone circle
i think because of the nerf medals its pretty hard to now rush for bosses and rush for fights as you barely get shields now and 3 seconds is too long if they are making the shields regen low atleast make the heal time 0 seconds or instant which is a balance in my opinions

I mean, it’s still to no disadvantage to hold one besides having to know your surroundings, but I imagine that most people who get medallions are looking for fights, so I think the nerf is good, they aren’t overpowered anymore

I’m okay with the 50 shield for 1 pin if when you get two pins it goes to 100 to simplify the system because as it is taking more than 1 pin isn’t worth it getting an extra 10 to 20 free shield with the smaller track radius

I think the nerf was needed. BUT I do think they went the wrong direction with it. I feel like even having a single one should still heal you up to 100. Being able to use a medallion to shield a teammate up to 100 after they got revived or rebooted or during fights when they got hit definitely promoted teamplay a lot.
I think they should've focused more on the cooldown. Should've been like 8-10 seconds without getting damaged. This way it gives a fighting chance to the player that doesn't have it to be on a level playing field while also allowing the carrier to shield up to full after a fight.

I really can’t seem to understand the problem with them, it was fun know that you had to hit the headshot snipe or push immediately and aggressively to get a kill, and if you had them you could carry movement instead of shields which is necessary on this big map
having all 5 made you practically invincible. even having 3 made you broken. the healing rate got you back to full shield way too quickly and if you just boxed urself in for a few seconds you easily got at least half ur shield back. basically if you don't one shot ur screwed. shooting from a distance was never worth it because by time you got to them they had all there shield back,its also why snipers are so damm good since there the only weapon that allows you to stay distant. but even then you HAVE to headshot. you simply couldn't out damage the shield. to anyone who didn't have a medallion it was unfair where as now there actually a risk vs reward. and you can still win even without a medaliion.) it might have been fun when you had them but when you don't its not. at that point you might as wel give up because any semi decent player wouldn't lose with all 5. also you still don't need to carry minis. since the medallions still serves as minis. it also just makes shield potions actually have a use now

@@bennettslavin3975 it's not really something to disagree on. before i actually built but i found out midway through one fight that I could just box myself for q few seconds and get all that shield back. we were both evenly matched so we just kept trading shots but because of the shield regen they couldn't do enough damage to me. hell even simply missing a pump shot was enough for me to get back all that damage from the first shot hit. it completely gets rid of the risk at that point

im fairly sure When you get all 5 it just Tells everyone where you are. not as in a tiny circle but as in it literally gives out your location like the flare effect (i think, the only time ive ever seen someone get 5 medallions is when I got 5 and its what the text hinted at)

I haven’t used the Shield Breaker EMP once because I genuinely thought it was just a counter added for the riot shield and you can just shoot them so why take an item slot? 😂😂 nice to know it’s for player shields

For the medallions they should not have nerfed them they should just make it that one person can only have 1 medallion and still give 100 Shield like it used to be

The medals feel more fair. I've got 3-4 medals and not needed to carry any shields and it felt OP especially in high ranked games

the Hyper SMG isnt as crazy as people think, in terms of power both the Hyper and Thunder Burst are the same but the difference between both are constantly spraying with the Hyper makes the bloom worse but it does have 15/16/17/18/19/20 structure damage
another issue though is gold+, instead of it being 16/17/18 it’s 16/16/17 Epic-Mythic while the Thunder is 28/29 instead of 27/28 Epic-Legendary
and finally, in terms of the Striker AR vs the Hyper SMG in terms of TTB (time to break for structures) they’re actually similar with the Striker being 0.74/0.74/0.617/0.617/0.617/0.617 and the Hyper being 0.75/0.75/0.666/0.666/0.583/0.583 for wood structures which isnt a big difference at all

Movement is amazing. Was great at launch with a couple of Settings edited. Yea you can go to options and edit your settings to help your move better. But now it's a bit to fast. Oh well, no complaints I'll just EDIT them again in the OPTIONS section instead of forcing epic to undo their progress because I can't build a city anymore. 😂
the Undergroud jonesy npc drops a unique assault rifle that cant be found anywhere else when killed. you should do a challenge using only that

I feel like if you have just 1 medallion it should heal to 50 but if you have 2 it goes up to 60, if you have 3 it goes to 75, if you have 4 it goes to 90 and if you have all 5 it goes to 100
