When a seasonal holiday or reason to celebrate inspires the desire to light up your home or outdoor event, take precautions to use laser light displays safely. Aim them only at the intended surface and not into the sky. Laser strikes on aircraft are dangerous and could temporarily blind a pilot, putting them, their passengers and people below in danger. Shining a laser at an aircraft is also a federal crime that can bring significant fines and jail time. When you light up the night, don't light up the sky.
