I think the results of each of the games in the finals kinda speak on behalf of Mufasa. Would love to see a follow up video going over the finals after you had a chance to watch them. Watched the North American one and it was spectacular.
For what the deck was actually doing yes the point was for every card to replace itself when playing against all the removal at the event. There was turns where every single time a card was removed it replaced itself with a draw or with a character.
In the finals Mufasa was banished into a perdita which allowed him pull a kuzco. I'm sure this interection didn't come up every game but in the match i did see the perdita top deck really seemed to seal the deal.
Absolutely LOVED your guys' casting. It was amazing and the energy you both provided was a total vibe. I'm kinda conflicted because I'd like to see you compete, but your casting was so good!
something cool is the mufasa plus fairy godmother, when you challenge and he is banished you get a character AND he goes back to your hand. talk about value. this deck was all about value and having an endless bounty of characters onto the board
Hey, love the videos, would love to see a quick recap with a breakdown of some of the matches especially finals. As much as I love lorcana it's sometimes hard to track what's happening and why they are playing a certain way just from the live/recording. Keep up!
11:47 yeah they announced each player 1-8th. Alberto was 3rd and Zan was 4th on the stage. Their prize was the same but they did distinguish them in that way.
Based on the limited number of games I saw this deck played. All the options you listed are slower options that don’t replace themselves. Joshua prioritized plays that were aggressive and replaced themselves. With this in mind Mufasa seems to be the best card in this slot. Continuing to go wide over and over again regardless of the opponents removal.
Mufasa flipping into Cinderella with FGM in play on the opponents turn to exert thier other character before it can challenge is cool. Also shuts down Scar clears if you flip into Cindy with FGM in play also. Now is that good, I don't know, but it's something.
When you watch it, you’ll realize that kuzco was key as well. He even said it in one of the interviews before semi finals I think In regards to mufasa, one of the games he lost, was because he didn’t have mufasa. At least it seemed he lost because of it
I’m also heading to the games expo. Are you playing in any of the events or just doing some open play and mooching? Loved your casting with Baker btw. You guys smashed it! RIP your voice
I didn't realise I had to buy Lorcana tickets ahead of time so I am going to see if I can squeeze in. If tickets are transferable its possible some friends will let me use theirs!
Not only that, I saw plays like Mufasa getting hit, drawing out a Perdita, who then grabs a Kuzco from the discard. Lots of value. Mufasa ensured that the deck continued to tick along through the heavy removal it faced. In that final his opponent did Be Prepared some 8 times in 3 games, the Mufasa + Perdita combo came in clutch multiple times.
Which event was this that you were casting at? I wanna find some Lorcana Matches That are from big events & had Casters reporting on the matches live? Not casting over the match Post-matches @Speci Love your content man!
I have a rules question ... I want to build a ruby emerald deck focused on using Ursula and bibbity bobbity boo to flicker cards like maleficent and lady Tremaine. . My question is .. can I also use Maui and new Hercules to challenge a character before the copy resolves and than return those to hand and put something else down
Haha, I didn't realize you weren't a Mufasa fan. I thought BooFasa was a reference to bibbidy-bobbidy-boo. So that name still works for this Fairy Godmother winning deck.
I think these two Challenge events confirmed without a doubt that the purple bounce stuff is too good / OP. Even an innovative deck like Joshua's was running with them as the base layer. I hope this doesn't continue moving forward into set 4, because it's both boring and too easy to do, there isn't any skill to it.
@@KrisPBaconnn You're rolling your eyes but there's a reason it's over-represented. Because it's both OP and easy, and players gravitate towards both things. facts are facts.
Most these decks look pretty boring and meh, not much of a main theme going on here like say lion king deck or 101 dalmatian deck ect. I want to see what the next new set brings to the table as I'm not currently excited about the current meta. And people don't play characters they genuinely like just what ever will best secure the win, I find that toxic honestly. But if you can beat um or convince anyone then I guess I will have to join them and show them by making a cheeze deck only then will they understand.
What do YOU think about Mufasa?
Love the idea. But i am a mufasa player
Favorite card

Yeah okay I am starting to believe in the Mufasa
Really enjoyed you and Baker casting, hope to see more in the future!
I hope so too! Baker was super fun to work with

If Faith Godmother lets Boofasa reveal a character card and go back to your hand, that’s a nutty combo, and would make Boofasa that much better
BOOfasa will never not be funny to me 😂
It's such a dumb joke & that is why I love it
If you watch the gameplay the Mufasa is absolutely necessary. Gives you value every single be prepared or madame medusa
Oh amazing ! Love to see when a deck wins and plays cards we don’t see often 😁
You guys were a great team and props to RB for getting you involved
It made the event so much more enjoyable to watch ❤

The interview was awesome! Joshua said exactly why I play this game, "I'm just going to have fun!"
That RB Origins deck had 72 cards 😅. Trying to give Podcana a heart attack it seems 😂
I had already been looking at Amber Amethyst Mufasa as a very solid deck, but that Fairy Godmother and Cimderella engine is super spicy.
I 100% agree with you, everybody tells me to put the Mufasa but i just hate it.
I’m also heading to the games expo. Are you playing in any of the events or just doing some open play and mooching?

Been waiting for this!!!
Mufasa gives you plays through be prep and builds up your chernabog faster. Definitely think hes good in this build
This ❤

Lille
Is there VOD of the Lille stream? Couldn't watch it as I was participating, but curious to see some matches :)

nope
there was actually a 72 card red blue list that made top 16 I believe lol I know you were joking about the 72 cards but it was there 😂😂
Who could have predicted Piglet Poofasa would win? Insane
I'm shocked you didn't notice or decided to not speak on the 72-card deck that Humza was using
Yeah, I thought he was going to have a field day with that!
I didn't realise :O
Where is set 4??
Peanut butter and jelly!!! Can’t give Mufasa his flowers huh 😏
Haha, I didn't realize you weren't a Mufasa fan. I thought BooFasa was a reference to bibbidy-bobbidy-boo. So that name still works for this Fairy Godmother winning deck.
Where were you this weekend @speci
I was in Lille!
I was unsure how I felt about BO2 before Lille. Now I detest it with all the cells of my body.
So happy to meet you with my son at our B n B ^^
With Fairy Godmother, it's Bibbidi-Bobbidi- "Boofasa" So you were right to call it Boofasa lol
Surprise u didn't mention ruby sapphire deck was 72 cards 👀
I DIDNT REALISE :O
Ruby/SApphire with 72 cards for Atlanta and you didn't mention it lol
The side events were a disaster.
how?
Winfasa now
i would like to see u PLAY in chicago
Its a long journey for me but I would love to play also! I didn't get a ticket though & its already sold out :/
Wait, did you go to Atlanta!? You’ve got to be jet lagged as balls.
I was in Lille, France. Journey home was only a few hours on the Eurostar train
@@SpeciLorcana okay that makes more sense. I was about to be blown away.
My boy is loosing his voice. Great job commenting the games!
Video best Set 4 Decks ❤️❤️pls
Coming soon! I'm starting work on it tomorrow morning
@@SpeciLorcana thx 🙏
@@SpeciLorcana i love new Ariel and diablo
Set 3 meta really made this event Less intresting for people not there.
I dont get the hate, mufasa replaces itself on the board for free.
It is definitely a good card, I just tend to be of the opinion there are better cards.
