Hello, the video is very helpful. Would you please tell me, is it stainless steel, or just white aluminum. Because I need a stainless steel flashlight, thanks!
I like the light but the strong magnet is a nonstarter for me. I sometimes use a compass or have electronic gear with me so I don’t want to risk it. Otherwise it looks ready nice.
Is it a Silver Fox or a Clever Fox or maybe a Clever Silver Fox. The quick release function looks like it is well thought out. Where would we be without the great todderbert educating us about these lights. 😊
Hej again Todderbert I gonna buy the Lumintop silver Fox it is a nice little guy but i also saw another interesting Lumintop flashlight it is Lumintop Ring King with 1000lm it also looks very nice take care.
Hej Todderbert thanks for the review the Lumintop silver Fox is very nice and i also love the beam pattern on this flashlight and yes rhe silver color looks very cool and stylish. Absolutely a flashlight I can imagine buying as you said perfect to have around the house and Wow the, magnet is super strong yes would love to have this smal and compact silver fox flashlight take care Todderbert and have a nice evening.
@kelben4364 not always. High CRI + warm tint producing a lot more heat. Get the same flahslight with cold tint and you will see bit difference belive me. You can maintain higher lumens a lot better with cold and also flashlight will run cooler. That's why it's recommended to buy bigger ones for warm tint, and small ones for cold one + cold one will give you more lumens and throw.
@@todderbertI finally brought the silverfox. Thank you for helping me make a purchase decision. I have the nitecore tip se and boruit v3. This one will add to my collection.
Wish they released it with 2 modes , LOW and HIGH . No memory, always starts on LOW. SS lights from my experience are quite heavy and not friendly for twisty operation . Aluminium threads are better for twisty lights
Like Lumitop haw AAA small and with magnet, and for walking my dig . Haw it fir 5+ares. Good flashlite, and it is worth the money. If i use a bigger flashlite, i use Sigma. It's way better for MTB or hiking. it also haw her 5,6 ares, but that is 900lumens.
This light are short. Can’t put in vapcell 14500 battery. Can’t put in eveready gold alkaline AA batery. I buy only flashlight without battery and using energizer battery😅

It is clear coated, polished aluminum.

Sh*t I just realized I wear automatic watches and I just bought the silver fox. Magnets and automatic movements do not go together. Thanks
Just got this flashlight few days ago for 12€ with the 14500 batt, is a steal for the price. The only thing i miss is a clip like Lumintop Tool AA.
I have the green version!!
I saw that Green Version, sweet color.
@todderbert It is !
And I believe you can only get that color on banggoods!

After 9 minutes using the flashlight with 14500 in a high mode i can't hold it. Too hot. It's not even a turbo mode.
It's not OK as for me.
9 minutes @ 450 lumens is actually a pretty good time for a 14500 flashlight.
Man up.
When you buy a flashlights of this size and u go beyond 150-200 lumens is going to get too hot to sustain that output till the end of the battery.

Nice review. Thank you. Do you know what temperature the emitter has?
Never mind, I found it. It’s 6500K.
Between this and lumintop frog, which would be a better choice? Price doesnt matter. Product and longevity does for me.
Not sure of the Lumintop Frog since I don't own one. I would say product quality would be similar from the same manufacturer.
@@todderbert Kool thanks. Usually use nitecore flashlights. Thought of trying lumintop as I've heard it's a good brand too. Great video sir.
@@Djinsoul I use the Tool AA Nichia version, and it has been solid.

Can anyone confirm if the Silver Fox definitely has mode memory? The manual says it does but has anyone seen it working?
Yes it has Mode memory on the four normal modes, does not remember the Strobe mode. Just tested this.
Great review, but as a long-suffering White Sox fan, I did not appreciate the reminder that the Sox were once again going nowhere.
Random Sports Talk on that Station :)
Nobody's going to use a AA battery on these, just get the 14500
