I saw this all star game on a Philco 25' black and white floor model TV, a very well played all star game, they really did play and showed you why they were all stars.
All these legends from the 60s at the end of their prime and the next generation crossed over here! West, Wilt, and Oscar and Kareem and Earl the Pearl.
Look how high Jabbar is at 4:45 . It's another game where Wilt seems totally disinterested in scoring. In fact, he only attempted one field goal in the 18 minutes he played.
Wilt's biggest flaw was his own personality. I'd be hesitant to build a team around him unless the team would have done well without him. Alcindor/Jabbar had a flawless game. You could add any NBA players and have an outstanding team with him.
Lenny Wilkins is the NBA’s version of Morgan Freeman whereas Freeman always seems like he’s always been a older man while Wilkins always seemed to be a coach 😂
