    I'm not sure but i think you was ripped off -- i just ordered one from amazon - CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System, 1500VA/1000W, 12 Outlets, AVR, Mini Tower,Black -- $219 and as you can see it has 1000W and 12 outlets NOT 900W and 10 outlets! just letting you know Couse that is a big difference -- or am i not getting it right? this was 6 years ago but it is same modal # CP1500PFCLCD and watched another vid from 6 or 7 years ago with same # but it had 2 coax plugs too! so i may just not understand - i would thank with adding/changing product it would change # too? i dont get how the same # can have 3 completely deferent designs

      This was the old design; I have bought some newer ones over the years and design have changed. Good question on they are the same #.

    The VP700 model is very slick. Good enough for a small NAS. Has smart monitoring to switch off NAS automatically after preset time. Great value for money.

      Very well. I think I should replace the batteries now. Other then that I haven't had any issues.

    Is the CyberPower CP1500EPFCLCD UPS not making any sound? Or is it making any noise?

    • @GrayaOverload
      @GrayaOverload  3 роки тому +1

      It is not making noise. If the power goes out it will beep to let you know there is no power.

      @@GrayaOverload thx. Is the noise level zero? Does it have fans inside?

      @@bkmaker672 I have never heard a fan. I haven't ripped it apart to check, but I don't think it has a fan. The noise level is zero.

    I appreciate the review. I just ordered one for a new desktop. In the past I have always used laptops and didn't consider the need for a backup until after the purchase. It would suck to loose all of your work over a brief power outage. This seems to be the answer. It could double as an emergency power source for other devices if needed.

      Does the CyberPower CP1500EPFCLCD UPS make noise (completely silent)? Or does it make any noise?

    • @qua7771
      @qua7771 3 роки тому +1

      @@bkmaker672 Stores power in batteries, so it doesn't make noise unless you turn the alarm on, which will alert you that an outage has taken place.
      I don't hear any fan noises or anything like that.

      I would have to take it apart again but from what i remember they were not upside down.

    Just finished watching your review. I picked up the 1350VA 810 watt yesterday at my local best buy. They didn't have the 1500. My normal load hovers between 48 and 50 watt, so even this one is overkill. I had been using APC units and was getting to the point where they would switch to battery randomly when they didn't need to. From what I can figure, the iMac and UPS were having conflicts because the model of UPS i was using wasn't a pure Sine wave, which Macs prefer. After putting the CyberPower in place, things have been much more calm.
    Even with the sensitivity settings on the APC set to low, i couldn't get things to stay calm. The other advantage I like with the CyberPower, is it has software natively available for the mac, beyond the built in OS support. APC no longer developers PowerChute for the mac, so stuck with limited functionality. So far so good, I've set the sensitivity to low on here, and things look good. With the other units, even after exchanging for a new unit, it was only a matter of hours before the same conflict started up again.

    is this portable? can it be charged and used on the go?

    • @GrayaOverload
      @GrayaOverload  3 роки тому

      I guess you could, it isn't light. I think there would be better battery options out there. Also, I would have to look at the instructions to see if you can turn off the sound when it is unplugged.

    • @GrayaOverload

      I picked up another one this year and it was mostly charge. They test the batteries when manufacturing so this is a side effect of that.

      This is a UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) for your computer/electronics. For improvement on running the Elgato smoothly that probably would be a computer upgrade.

    This thing is a DOG! Now junk. This month, it started cutting out on me, without warning, without reason, crashing the attached computers. Completely shut down. No power line anomalies, not overloaded - only 2 computers running. Got an F03 error which indicates a malfunction of its charging system. Of course, just out of warranty. I bought it because of the perceived benefits, but this thing does NOT LAST. NO longevity. I looked up my notes and see that its predecessor was also a Cyberpower that suddenly went bad, just out of warranty and had to be trashed. I will be going with APC.

    • @GrayaOverload
      @GrayaOverload  4 роки тому

      Thanks for the experience. I would still contact them just to see if this is something they can fixed or if they will fix it. I hope you get better results with the APC. I have had APC die right our of warranty as well that is why i went with Cyperpower for this purchase.
