Mindy you will get the hang of it! Doesn't make you a bad mom. You will be amazing! Baby gear has come along way. Everything changes over time. I will be a age gap mama if I am able to have another baby (going through fertility journey) and trust me, I would have to "learn" all over again lol❤️
When Larry was showing the blinds he looked so excited and happy and he looked so accomplished and idk why but it made me smile really big, I swear it’s the small things in life :)
I loved when you commented “and now we can go grocery shop and to the park!” It reminded myself about how I was soo scared to go out into the real world after having the baby bc i wanted to make sure i was prepared. On the first trip to costco my poor husband apparently didn’t assemble the stroller that well and we didn’t know until we had to put the baby in car seat into it… mid shopping trip the front wheel popped off and rolled it self outta sight. I can laugh about it now bc baby was safe and we got it working but right there and then i was soo embarrassed and mad at myself we weren’t as prepared as i had thought. All that to say that you will have a learning curve and that’s ok! We women are expected to just know and have “maternal instincts” but the secret is we don’t have them all! We learn it as we go 🥰
My son is almost 2 and he just got a new seat and it's like starting all over again! They're complicated things! Safe in the Seat is a great resource for carseat help! If you have a Buy Buy Baby near you they may be able to show you how to work the stroller and seat smoothly too! They're usually really good with them!
For them car seat. The longer piece that you pull by the feet to tighten the straps, there is a button inside of there. Push down and pull on the straps at the same time to loosen it
It all looks so good 😊 did you figure out your duvet? It’s literally like a pillowcase for your comforter. I would recommend waiting until you get your floors because everything will be very warm tones and you may want something white or brighter to lighten it up for a contrast. So the curtains… I have the blackout grommets curtains too, it drove me crazy you can see the tag and the backside when you pull them back. It’s an easy fix but I didn’t realize it right away lol if you take them off then feed them back on with gray side facing the curtain rod as it’s going into it, it will always stay right side facing out. You may have already figured it out though😊 you’re bump 🤗 you’re so cute!
So excited for y'alls little one to come! Larry and Mindy y'all are going to be such amazing parents together, your journey has been beautiful to watch. I hope y'all have an amazing day, and can't wait for more vlogs!
There should be a press release button in the front of the carseat where that one strap is hanging down to get more length for the straps. But the manual should definitely show you if you can't figure it out! It was so hard for me to figure out at first lol I think I had to search for a tutorial video.. You're already an amazing mom by how hard you try. You got this!!
You are definitely not the only one. My daughter is 5 and I still have trouble with her car seat when we change it from car to car. Before she was born we could NOT get the base installed correctly. My husband tried for an hour and gave up and then I tried for an hour and gave up. Don’t panic… it will all work out and your “mom instincts” will kick in when he’s here! 😊
Everything looked amazing. Such a great friend worried about the house and comfort of Bob and Jackie. They will love it !!! Your buddy bump is soooooo cute
Mindy and Larry this video was so so cute. First time parenting comes with so many new things to learn how to use!! Before you know it, you will be an absolute pro. So much instinct takes over and it’s amazing! You two are going to be amazing parents. Thank you for allowing us to come on this journey with you!! ♥️♥️
I have 4 cats and we use the surefeed microchip bowls. If your cats aren't microchiped, they come with tags that will unlock the bowl you pair it too. It's a life saver as two of the cats are on medication that we mix into their food. Just a suggestion! Good luck with the kitties!
You did a great job with the window shades and curtains in the baby’s room. Both will really help the the temperature even with cold in winter time. So excited to see the nursery when it’s all decorated!
To adjust the straps, at the bottom end where that long black strap is near where baby’s feet will be, feel around on top of the fabric as there’s a concealed button (or should be) and press it and pull the straps that go around his shoulder :)
Oh girl, you are never a bad mom! Get that thought outta here! 🥰 You are a new momma is all! A fabulous one at that! You and Larry always make me smile! You're both so loving and genuine! Also for the sea grass basket I used mine for my recent wedding and stuck pompas grass and eucalyptus in it and it's sooo cute! Or I've put my potted plants in them! 😘 God bless you! 🙌🏼
Enjoyed your vlog while eating breakfast & drinking coffee. You & Larry always make me smile. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend with your friends. :)
Bob and Jackie are so lucky! I just imagine all the love that went into the dinner you made them + cleaning the house and how they must feel going to your home and feeling all the cozy vibes! ❤️
I make a Bolognese sauce for pretty much everything including lasagna. You can substitute cottage cheese for Ricotta which is good, but drain the cottage cheese in a colander you don't need the extra liquid.
Also I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I am for your videos. Every Saturday morning I have my coffee and then turn your video on and it immediately motivates me. I seriously don't know what I'd do without your Saturday videos! They've helped me accomplish so much over the years. Xo, Mandy (a fellow boy mama)
I have a 6 year old son and I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant! I feel like baby will be here any minute (sad about losing my bump, but excited to met baby). Just the other day felt exactly like you! Didn't know how to take seat out of the base and how to make shoulder pads longer lol and this is my second baby! You are not alone in my defense it's been 6 years since I've had a baby lol its coming back to me little by little so you will learn and fast!
I love your videos! Try placing the lasagna noodles the other direction in the big pan, they should fit perfectly that way. I also agree with others suggesting adding cottage cheese!
I agree and another thing I add is 1 layer of cooked spinach leaves. Steam them, drain and cool and shred them up on a middle layer of the lasagna. I put them on top of the cottage cheese normally. It’s just another way to add another veggie in your lasagna!
Some strollers you are able to have the toddler seat in and the car seat secures to the toddler seat. It always seemed more secure for me to do it that way. Also because the toddler umbrella covers baby’s feet from the sun while the car seat umbrella covers the baby’s head from the sun. And it’s easier to secure the car seat on the toddler seat rather then to the stroller base. Also you should see a button in the feet of the car seat that has like the extra buckle attached to it. If you press on that button while pulling the seat belt you are able to adjust the size you need. To tighten it back up just pull on the extra buckle strap at the feet of the car seat again. Hope that helps! 🙂
The carseat release for the shoulder harness...keep the harness latched before and while you tighten and loosen so they stay even. The cord located at the feet there is a push lever inside that slot it comes out of... you compress as you pull the chest piece to loosen...then to tighten you pull the cord at the feet to tighten down on baby!!! Your doing great just read to operating instructions!! Take to local firehouse to have them properly install your base and car seat!! They were so helpful and love to make sure you are keeping baby safe and they will teach you all the tricks as well!!
You will get it! To loosen the straps there is a button in where the bottom strap comes out. Push down on the button and pull on the straps. It’s easy once you know where the button is.
Also! Where the strap comes out near the foot end of the seat… there is a silver “button” right where the strap comes out from the fabric… push and hold it down to loosen the straps!
You will be a great mom!! There is a difference with the baby being in the seat and his weight👍 You will be a pro in no time!! Have fun setting everything up and learning all the tricks..it is going to be sooo much fun and a wonderful journey💙💙💙
Before my daughter was born I went to a local police station and had the car seat base anchored into the car safely. Plus the hospital we were in looked at the safety of the car seat before we left. P.S. I think it’s so cute how you are forgetting words! Pregnancy brain at its finest! Lol! ❤️
Many many police stations/firehouses do not have CPSTs. And any CPST will not install for you. They’ll do it to show you, uninstall, and then walk you thru doing it yourself. Then show you how to test if it’s correct! Otherwise the liability would fall back on them and you wouldn’t know how to do it solo when you inevitably need to do it
@@jessniiclee Yeah you can look up local CPSTs to walk you thru your seat and help check it. But final install will always be done by the parent/caregiver. I wouldn’t trust nurses either as they are not trained for car seats and also can’t touch your seat.
the car seat there is a button in where that strap is hanging the front of the seat, when you press that button you can pull the straps out… you also pull that hanging strap to tighten once straps are on baby and clipped!!
We have that exact car seat & my little girl is 8 weeks. It’s so nice & light you’ll love it!! Clicks in and out so easy ☺️ It also took us time to learn how to get car seat clicked in quickly even now at 8 weeks sometimes I’ll miss it first shot 🤣 it happens lol you won’t have to push in the back button, it should slide in and click without having to hold any button ☺️ Too loosen straps the bottom part that is long there’s a slight hole, you’ll push the button down in it and pull the straps at the same time to loosen - makes getting baby in much easier lol (on the front by red clip)
In the front there’s a piece of strap coming out near where his feet will be. Reach in there and you press a little button down and pull the straps out. Make sure you pull both sides at the same time to keep them even. Then you’ll buckle and pull that same strap to tighten. Definitely Safe In The Seat to learn all things harnessing! Tons of tips when things get twisted and messed up too. We started using the toddler seat for walks around 2 1/2 months since it can recline so much. Baby really likes it which is nice since she definitely didn’t love the car seat for awhile.
You will get it. To release the straps there should be a lever on the bottom near the pull strap is at the bottom near where the feet goes. It’s hidden at the bottom you pull lever and then pull straps out. Then to tighten you pull that strap right above it.
Yes you can loosen the straps from the back. Once you figure it out it becomes second nature. It was frustrating my first time lol. But there's almost like a metal anchor type thing that holds the straps on place and you just take each strap off each side of the anchor one at a time to loosen the straps. Hopefully that makes sense.
Miss Mindy, if you haven’t already had someone explain how to loosen the straps to the carseat, you’ll notice at the front end of the seat where his feet will be is part of the strap coming out of a hole. Put your finger in that hole and you should feel a metal piece. Push down on that metal piece at the same as pulling the harness straps that go across his chest towards you. It will loosen the straps. To tighten the straps once he’s in the carseat, you pull on the strap that is coming out of the hole where the metal piece is. I hope this makes sense and helps! You’ll get used to it the more and more you do it! I promise! Best wishes on your pregnancy journey!
Great video .You are going to be a great mum .Everything is new to you.It will all fall into place .It’s such an exciting time for you both .It’s going to be lovely seeing your baby boy in the videos ☘️☘️💚💚
Mindy u are doing a good job ;). When u have a baby u always have to learn all that stuff the carseat and stroller and making sure the carseat straps are right. Then u got all the baby and toddler stuff that always has to be put together lol. U and your husband are a cute couple. Happy for u both. This sweet little baby boy on the way.
Mindy hey you're doing great it's a learning process and you will learn as you go for the straps to get longer you see at the end of the car seat you see the black extra strap hanging in the little open area if you put your finger in there there's a button push it and pull the straps at the same time and that's how you adjust them hope it helps ❤
Hi there, my 2 kitty boys do the same, I put them in separate rooms with the door closed. Also, AUSTRAILIAN WINES dont give you a headache, or you can make a wine spritzer ( club soda and wine). This is a suggestion for long after you have your baby.
You got this! You and Larry will be great parents! I agree with you with having things have less sugar. I got recently diagnosed with diabetes and you don’t think things have sugar but the do. Like milk it has sugar in it too.
I use the cottage cheese to its my favorite way to make lasagna I use large cottage cheese 1/4 cup Parmesan sprinkle cheese 1/2 cup mozzarella with fresh Italian parsley and basil chopped mix together never fails 😋
Love your videos! :) I have a Grace Stroller, to get more slack put your finger in the hole where that long strap is hanging from at the bottom of the car seat (where feet would rest), there should be a little button in the hole to press down on. When you are pressing on it grab the shoulder straps and pull them towards you it will give you the slack so you can get baby in and hooked up. Once hooked up pull on that strap that dangles and it will tighten the straps back up.
I went through the same thing with my cats a few years ago when one was diagnosed with diabetes. He eventually passed and his brother still gets the yummy food because he liked it so much. Now the same with our dogs. Just lost one from cancer and the other dog is now accustomed to the food she had to have. It was stressful too at first but I just gave in. Spoiled babies.☺️💕
I have never seen lasagna made with the processed American cheese before. Lol I like my lasagna with ricotta, and the meat sauce layers, topped with mozzarella cheese and little parmigiana to make a nice crust. Sometimes I’ll make baby meatballs with the sauce. The options are endless
You have the same carseat/stroller combo that I have!! We LOVE it. Just moved my big boy (just made 1-year) into the toddler insert for the stroller, and he's in love. It's so easy to use!
Omg I’ve had that travel system for 6 months now and y’all just taught me something holding the back handle in to put the seat onto the stroller 🤦🏻♀️ I am one of those moms that stuggles to attach it while baby is IN the seat 😅 nbd… she judges me every time
For your cats you could get the sure feed bowl. I have it for one of my cats because the other just keeps eating all of her food. It comes with a rfid tag that yiu put on her collar.
To loosen the straps, go to where the long strap piece is at the front, bottom, center of seat. Reach your finger up on that hole and there should be a metal button or piece. Hold it down and pull on the straps at/around the chest piece. The string will shorten and the straps will loosen.
Laughing at the carsest and stroller clips! When my son was born we never practiced putting it in and out of the car or into the stroller, my husband always did it. Then when he went back to work, I had no clue what I was doing 😂 glad I wasn’t the only one who struggles with this kind of stuff hahaha
Hi Mindy and Larry, enjoyed spending the day with you. The house looks great, I love the blinds and curtains and the stroller is awesome. Can’t wait until Baby boy comes along, you and Larry are going to be great parents🤗 and his big Brother is going to Love him dearly🥰
I have the same stroller for my daughter. She is out of the car seat stage, but to this day I still have trouble every once in a while trying to get the toddler part in and out. It has to be lined up just so. Don’t be hard on yourself it is what it is lol. Doesn’t say anything about you as a Mama ❤️
You two are so cute with the stroller and car seat! There is a black strap at the foot of the car seat, push down on the button where the strap is and then pull on the baby’s straps they will loosen then pull the strap to tighten them.
Hi Mindy, I remember those days when we 1st bought the stroller almost 12 years ago it was so funny for us trying g to figure it out, its OK just follow the instructions. Love your videos!!! Many Blessings. Nina from Seattle
You got this momma👍 You're a first time mom and everything is overwhelming at first but you'll get the hang of it in no time. To adjust the straps on the car seat, the strap that hangs down where the baby feet will be, there should be a button under a flap there. You push that and pull the straps at the same time. It might help to find some YT videos or tutorials. When my mom would make lasagna she didn't like ricotta either. She would use cottage cheese and mozzarella. Watching you make them looked so yummy😋
There is usually a button in the front where the harness snaps in that you hold down and pull on the straps at the same time. Mine is under a little flap of the fabric
Love the stroller and car seat. To loosen the straps look under the bottom in the front of the seat. There should be a metal button to push and pull on the straps while pushing and they will loosen up. :)
All the strollers are so different your doing great! To loosen the straps a lot of times there is a button where the black strap is on the bottom of the bucket seat if you press that and pull the straps they will loosen and then once baby is strapped in you pull the black strap to tighten:) the clips should be in line with the babies armpits
Look your stroller up on You Tube to see if there’s a video on it. That’s how I figured out my grandsons car seats. Usually there’s a strap coming out of the front of the car seat and a little opening in car seat cover with a thing to push down or up which unlocks the chest straps so you can pull them out to loosen. To tighten after baby is in seat you pull the strap on front of seat until they’re tightened back up. It’s so exciting to follow your baby journey. You and Larry will be amazing parents.
We make lasagna rolls. There are so many different ways to do them. You can make Alfredo and chicken lasagna rolls and regular lasagna rolls. That way if some people like sausage and meat you can make them all in one pan. Just remember the order you put them in there. You can also just make cheese rolls if they don’t like meat.
Cramps are a sign of growing so that’s normal. I only have weeks to go and haven’t even thought about getting my stroller going!! So you’ve inspired me to do it this weekend lol!!
Watching you enjoy fruit makes me laugh. I am 23 weeks pregnant and every piece of fruit I eat is heavenly. Every time I eat pineapple I'm the same "OMG you have to try this pineapple" haha.
In the car seat where you would pull the seatbelt to make tighter, there’s a hole in the fabric, put your finger in it and push down until you feel a button and push it and pull the seatbelt to how you need to adjust it
Mindy I'm a mother of 3 and still struggle with baby stuff. Don't feel bad. I struggled with my last babies carseat. It was way different than my other 2 had. She finally was able to upgrade and I figured out this new car seat way easier 😂
In the front of the car seat where that long black strap hangs out, there a little button if you push it down or pull it up you can adjust the buckles.
Hi Im fron Italy and here is how we make lasagna... We don't add cheese but bechamel. So we put bechamel first, pasta next and then the sauce (ragù bolognese), and so on... And we put real parmesan cheese on top.
Mindy you will get the hang of it! Doesn't make you a bad mom. You will be amazing! Baby gear has come along way. Everything changes over time. I will be a age gap mama if I am able to have another baby (going through fertility journey) and trust me, I would have to "learn" all over again lol❤️

Awww your bump is so cute!!! I made lasagna a few days ago and I love adding cottage cheese onto mine along with the mozzarella. 😋 it’s amazing!!
Yeesss! Cottage cheese is a must in my lasagna 😋 mmmm
U can put blankets in the basket ! Cute decors for Easter ! Can’t wait to see more baby stuff!
Have you tried cottage cheese in your lasagna instead of ricotta ? That's how I've always had it. It's smooth and yummy !
That bunny house is my absolute favorite I love it every year you put it out. I've have tried so hard to find one like it but so hard to find.
Mindy when you said “she’s doing great” talking about the bunny with the missing leg 😂 that cracked me up haha
If I recall, that's the bunny that Larry dubbed "Eileen" aka "I lean" lol
Same
You have the same carseat/stroller combo that I have!! We LOVE it. Just moved my big boy (just made 1-year) into the toddler insert for the stroller, and he's in love. It's so easy to use!
The little sprigs in the vase are called pip berries. Maybe put a house plant in your narrow basket?
Hi Mindy the seat belt adjuster is the long piece where the baby's feet goes. Check the long string piece. Hope it helps.
OMG THIS IS MY FAVE I LOVE THE SPRING DECOR:)!
You & Larry are going to great parents I love all ur videos Mindy!
Roll up a blanket for a pop of color for the narrow basket by the fireplace! 😊
I just purchased that same stroller and car seat for my premie grand daughter. It is amazing you’ll love it. It so simple to use
I’m not a wine drinker either but I LOVE to drink out of wine glasses…I just pour in some cranberry or grape juice 😍
I seriously LOVE watching new parents figure things out. Also. It’s ok to buy multiple strollers for future reference. 😉
Trust me mindy. You are most definitely not the first mom to have carseat/stroller drama. You will get it.
So glad I’m not alone🥰
Cramps are a sign of growing so that’s normal. I only have weeks to go and haven’t even thought about getting my stroller going!! So you’ve inspired me to do it this weekend lol!!
I always look forward after I've done all I have to to be able to sit back and relax with another one of your vlogs🥰❤️🌹
Watching you enjoy fruit makes me laugh. I am 23 weeks pregnant and every piece of fruit I eat is heavenly. Every time I eat pineapple I'm the same "OMG you have to try this pineapple" haha.
In the car seat where you would pull the seatbelt to make tighter, there’s a hole in the fabric, put your finger in it and push down until you feel a button and push it and pull the seatbelt to how you need to adjust it
Perfect timing! Good morning Mindy how are you doing? 😁
Doing well!!!! Happy Saturday
Good morning Mindy! If you have 2 cars I suggest getting another base, it makes things so much easier.
Mindy I'm a mother of 3 and still struggle with baby stuff. Don't feel bad. I struggled with my last babies carseat. It was way different than my other 2 had. She finally was able to upgrade and I figured out this new car seat way easier 😂
Love this video! standing in front of the stroller handle when putting it in might make it easier to see where it clicks in.
Your bump!! Love it! ❤️
Also, I think it's so nice that you all accommodate Larry's food preferences. How did he like his lasagna?
In the front of the car seat where that long black strap hangs out, there a little button if you push it down or pull it up you can adjust the buckles.
Seeing you pushing around the stroller makes me so happy 💜 miss my son being little he’s turning 3 next week 🥳
Larry is amazing with the pram and looks gud with it u go larry
Your skin looks beautiful. Love the Easter Decor too.
Hi
Im fron Italy and here is how we make lasagna...
We don't add cheese but bechamel. So we put bechamel first, pasta next and then the sauce (ragù bolognese), and so on... And we put real parmesan cheese on top.
Maybe roll up a cozy blanket or 2 for that problem basket?
