The Strip - an ideal place to call home... LOL. Surrey taxpayers must be delighted to have to fund 24/7 dedicated police, medical, social services, meals and daily cleanups. This is what Linda Hepner and her Surrey First(?) team are proud of... WOW, truly pathetic.

I was saddened to see this video. As a long time resident at Surrey City Centre, I have been in awe of my City's growth of residential and business infrastructure, I am excited for Surrey Centre's future growth. The vision to build Surrey to metropolitan status was shared not only by Mayor Hepner but by her predecessors Mayor McCallum and Watts. Your video showing the tent city is sad. Homelessness is a worldwide issue shared by many, many other cities, it is not only occurring on a two block stretch of road in Surrey, BC. Your video did not contain reasons why there is a tent city or suggestions on how to solve the plight of the homeless that reside there. To insinuate that the taxpayers of Surrey or City Hall chooses progress over plight is insulting to me.
