It's kind of hilarious that Durant is way more efficient from midrange than Jalen Green is from the paint.
and porter jr from the corner 3 😂
@@marcusuniverse2061 obviously? corner 3 is a tougher shot. paint should be easier
KPJ gets more points per shot from the corner, than nic claxton from zero distance (1.59 vs 1.422)
@@felixicussI mean yeah that’s just 50% from 3 vs 70% from 2
@@felixicuss This is why teams are willing to die by the 3.
When you have open lane you take it but it's the 3ball that opens it up.
It’s hilarious that Curry, Klay, and KD were all out on the floor at once with a DPOY. Just crazy
It’s sad it took all that to beat LeGoat
Proves how worthless those years were total waste of a great potential rivalry
It still sounds illegal lol
@4KT Karam they swept "LeGoat"
@@4ktkaram395It's sad LeBron needed Wade, Bosh, Allen, Kyrie, Love and Davis to have any shot at winning championships. He'd be 0/10 without em aka Jerry West 2.0.
The Dillon Brooks shade was hilarious 🤣
Dynasty indeed!
I see you everywhere
His TS% was 49.4 this year. He's always been an inefficient shooter, which is why it confuses that he gets the number of shots he gets.
LeBron was hilarious**
Dillon Brooks is a WWE character brought to real life. 😂
It's crazy that we call the logo a zone now
Steph n dame fault frfr🤣dem niccaz DANGEROUS
@Kamryn Mccormack I know but shh a shot from there on the court was called ayy yea right lol
@@SherryBlue-iy6pr what
The fact that they split mid range into 3 zones and 3pt into 6 zones is actually insane
Since the league shoots far more 3s than midrange shots, they probably did it that way to have more similarly sized datasets
Not really. There's way more space to shoot outside the 3 point arc than inside the arc not including the paint, so makes sense they split it up into more areas.
61% in midrange is crazy KD
Not just crazy. That's out of this world. That's impossibly great
suns really just pull a 2 point cheat code
And most of them guarded 😂
Seeing Buddy Hield in Kings uniform during his introduction made me question my nba knowledge lol.
Rightfully so as that's where he has spent the majority of his career and broke records and made a name for himself
@@LogiMack I disagree hes been better in the Pacers uniform he already broke Reggie Miller's 3 point record in a season
@@zaaayyyy23 better doesn't mean he played the majority of the his career there nor made a name for himself there though. People already started to look at him when he was in SAC
Regardless of legacy, this is about THIS season’s numbers. ESPN’s graphics team goofed on this one.
I know, right? It’s been more than a year since he was traded, and surely folks have noticed that Sacramento could really use his outside shooting against the Warriors right now…
Love this video every year, gotta call out those bricks 😂
Russ the God of bricks. watch him bless the backboard
He is making a comeback as a Clipper though.
Lmao 😂😂😂😂
I wish espn would do more stuff like this instead of just having people yell at each other and give stupid opinions all day
Man I love this shooting stats video!
best example of Jalen Green's inefficiency is the dunk contest 😂
He has terrible spacing the paint is packed when he drives you don’t know what you’re talking about
Fun fact for everyone. Luke Kennard has shot 54% from 3 since being traded to Memphis.
Should distinguish between catch and shoot 3s and transition 3s as Catch and Shoot gives the player time to line up and set his form properly. i.e. Curry's 3s from the top of the arc are more difficult than Quickley as it seems he's more of a catch and shoot instead of transition or playmaker 3s.
Then you divide those numbers into even smaller numbers and make them not interesting anymore.
This vid is just for fun, not for hardcore statistic analysis.
Not really how it works as theres genuinely guys who are really good at creating their shot while way worse at the catch and shoot. I know it sounds odd but if theres stats for it im sure you can find a lot of players like thay
I mean yeah, Klay takes a lot of catch and shoot but his are really tough, defense don’t like to leave him open so he takes a lot with a hand in his face and he did take off the dribble shots this year, in terms of deep threes as well, Steph, Dame and Trae are the only people to really take shots that far out off the dribble, if you watched the kings game they smothered Steph Curry with a double team the second he passed half court, Denver in 2020-21 against the Blazers in the playoffs first round didn’t really do the same with Dame but they of course had to put someone on him from 28-30feet at least
Doesn’t matter tbh. A 3 is a 3
No point in distinguishing because the ability to get open is a valuable skill in itself especially when the defense knows ur a shooter
KD is the best midrange shooter in NBA history.
People who say Jordan is pure nostalgia.
Fact
Thats funny cause when celtics hound him he was struggling thats the defence jodron got everynight
@@joshua51814 never
@@ronenvavshet6949 jordons records scoring titles and averages says otherwise
@@joshua51814 against who? Charles barkley 🤣🤣 stop please Jordan not near kd offense and not just kd I can give u 5 more
I love this videos great stuff 🔥
Need this years video soon!
This is my favorite video each year!
Love these type of videos
I’m shocked that Dillon brooks even got 32%, idk if I’ve ever seen him make a jump shot
Great content
i love watching this video every year
I expect Kevin Durant and de mar to rule the mid range
Love this video 💯
I look forward to these every year
Bron/ad are the dry brothers? 😂
The brick manufacturing brothers
My favorite video every year
Love these vids
I love these at the end of every season
Should’ve used clip of kd ankle breaker on gafford . He made him do a split and hit the midrange. That was cold 🥶
AIR GORDON WOOOOOO. This dude has a cool story but its sad that he had to go most of his earlier seasons with such high expectations
My favorite video every season
I wouldn't mind a deeper dive to see like the top 10 and the worst 10 from those spots. Flash a list or something.
That would be cool
exactly they can easily make a separate video with each zone top 10 and bottom 10 You hear that espn?!
I Wair for tjis vidéo every year
Lol Dillon Brooks creating a dynasty from the key 🤣🤣🤣
this is yearly tradition by now, 5 seasons in a row watching this by end of a nba season
Love to see my boy TM3 on here 🔥
More like these espn
Nice microphone bro
Did not expect to see Trey Murphy and Eric Gordon on the deep threes, shows that role players are now expanding their range too
Eric Gordon had always been a sniper
@chaseackerman4234 but most people forget he too was once called Air Gordon back in the day
With offense and overall pace on the upward trend the past several years, minimum numbers to qualify for stats or any analytics should be adjusted. Better yet, make it dynamic so it’s always relative to league numbers for that particular season. Furthermore, adjusting the minimums will rightfully exclude a lot of stars and scorers who only play a few games due to load management or injuries.
best vid every year
We always support unnecessary (necessary) Dillon Brooks slander🙏
For a second I thought Buddy was back on the Kings😂
For reals. But of a slip up by the graphics department.
What I find crazy is that if you watch Steph’s Boston buzzer beater, they try to contest him from half court! That’s just how good of a shooter he is. 😮
Crazy man Steph Curry
And they couldn't
Well it was at the buzzer so obviously they’re gonna contest since there was nothing he could do but just shoot it
Everyone contests half court shots stop glazing
COPYING my whole flow.... word for word bar for bar
I thnk you should add in your favourite shot of the year from each spot
Good old 2022-23 Sacramento 3 point specialist Buddy Hield
I laughed at this comment, lol.
audio is wild on this one
when is this coming out for the 2024 season
I miss this omg I miss rhis
Somewhere in the world, there's a kid and future NBA player practicing his shots from the logo zone.
The leader for baseline jumper only jas 81 fgm??!?!?!? And kd missed a lot of gms this season... the game change a lot for sure... kobe tim dirk really made a livin in that zone back then
So is kd , you can’t blame him for being injured . Stop hating
@@curtiszyr he wasnt hating tho. simply saying that someone who only played 47 games still led fgm for baseline jumper
@@curtiszyr huh??? Hating who?? I was simply saying nobody shoot from there anymore
Its not surprising that the nets role players like Claxton were so efficient when they had two of the best scorers in the league attracting so much attention and gravity
i see the jxmyhighroller influence in this style of video. i like it
6:59 why the graphic show Buddy Hield as a Kings when he's a pacers now
Who else was trying to guess all of these😭
Fr🤣
How many times did you wrongly guess Steph?
For some reason I guessed Air Gordon for the deep shots, great to see him still doing his thing, well except when he helped the rockets miss 27 straight 3s
Nothing is better than the NBA playoffs in sports
world cup, UCL finals....
a lot of things are better
As a sixers fan, it's Shake Milton's almost accidental half court shot on Christmas.
I miss when these vids did both sides of the court separately as opposed to both as one
Good part about long range offense, is nobody defends the mid range.. that's where you can make ya money, when they start defending the mid range, the post start to crease driving lanes for you. Which opens up open 3's. That is a form of effective offense for a game, to remain successful in that flow, you gotta commit when your missing shots, which in turns should result in driving to the lanes for contact to get free throws. None of this works regularly without walk throughs, scrimmage, training, video study & availability to play.. & practice. Ain't no Allen Iversons out there no more.. you spending the money, practice. You can tell who ain't.
Couldn’t take 3 seconds to use a graphic for buddy hield on the team he actually played for this season huh ESPN
Facts.
It was a simple mistake let it go lol.
The Buddy Heild Kings graphic 🤦♂️
That half court shot just had aura idk how to explain it
Crazy this was 9 months ago 😂
Haven’t watched this video yet but i can tell Dillion Brooks will own the three point line
Y’all couldn’t find a hield pacers graphic? Lol
Bruh Buddy isn’t on the kings anymore!!!!😂
be honest, you smiled when Dillon Brooks' name came up for bad shooting
A smiled (i already knew it anyways) when I saw LeBrick
So funny how Giannis is carrying the ball multiple times in one dribbling.
Still waiting for the latest one...
7:00 why is buddy hield on the kings?
Sloppy editing.
Between Brooks, FVV, Green, and Smith, it looks like the Rockets are trying to assemble an inefficiency Voltron.
Its crazy, how they tracking these stats and number
I like how the baseline midrange jumpers are considered ‘endangered species’
Dillon catchin strays 😭
This season has been crazy in terms of efficiency. Jokic averaged 24 on 70 TS% which is absurd.
That's nothing, curry in 2018 26 in a 68% that's even better, and he is the only player in history to reach a 65% true shooting while averaging over 30 a game, 30 pts 67% in 2016 32 pts 65% in 2021
@@MisterKnowItAll3 you can't say that's nothing. If Jokic averaged just 0,5 points more which I'm pissed he wasn't soo aggressive, but if he averaged 25 points this season, it would be the most efficient season in NBA history by a player who averaged at least 25 points. We've never seen anything like that, you can't say that's nothing...
@@hristijandimitrovski8664 🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂
@@hristijandimitrovski8664 you are salty cause curry is the most efficient scorer ever and your jokic is taking advantage of today's weak defensive NBA.
@@MisterKnowItAll3???? NOBODY SAID EVERYTHING BAD ABOUT STEPH CURRY. Curry is the greatest point guard in NBA history. I just said it isn't true that these Jokic's efficiency this season are nothing and I explained my arguments. If he averaged just 0,5 points per game more, this would be the most efficient 25+ points season in the history of the NBA and that's facts. And all of you are saying bad defense, bad defense, have you seen his injured hands???? Do you understand that Jokic is probably the center with less calls and not just center, but in general superstar with less calls for him than everyone else. I'm sorry, but you can use that statement about defense for every other player. You can use it for Embiid, you can use it for Jokic, Lebron... But that's nit actually true. If you watch Jokic enough you would understand that he is simply phenomenal, his footwork is beautiful and he scores those points because of bad defense, but because he knows how to score all those baskets, he knows exacly the perfect moment of taking the shot and knows how to fake his defenders. You can say whatever you want, but Rudy Gobert is a guy who won 3 defensive player of the year awards in his career. 3. Jokic dominates against him every time when he meets him. Just look at this play off series and that's enough. Jokic scored 1000 points against him🤣🤣🤣 so to say that he is soo efficient because of the defense, it's really disrespectful because you haven't seen center before to average 38,5% from deep in entire season, you haven't seen center before being soo efficient from the free throw line like Jokic despite all the none calls that he had this season.
Why 3-point wings got a special treatment with distinction of right and left wings? The sides were not separated for corner threes and baselines.
This is why durant is best in nba
Yah, Kd is unfair. Balled out this year too. He and Giannis are head to head
Lmao 49 games is not a whole season
@Deniyi lol 49 games and still has the most field goals made in those areas, and leads in percentage
@@cssj2737 that’s why you can’t argue he’s the best mid range shooter but best overall player? I don’t. Have him there
he got swept last season
Buddy Hield❤❤❤❤

Please don’t show Buddy in a Kings uniform 😂
I know, right? It’s been more than a year since he was traded.

@@neuralink7018 obviously not🤣🤣🤣

Durant midrange god
buddy hield in a kings uniform the disrespect is actually insane
theres a difference between catch and shoot threes and off the dribble and transition threes
I don’t get why people aren’t roasting Bron for being as at shooting. Skip is and was always right.
Dillon Brooks 🤣🤣🤣
getting into the paint at least 500 times and converting less than half is pretty bad
JaValle McGee should be on this video too. He has unlimited range 😤.
yeah, unlimited shaqtin range
Dylan brooks lmao
