Why’d you skip the 9 steps of cleaning / polishing?? Why don’t you try it on a 25 year old faded scratched up piece of junk car or one that’s been painted 4 times already? Why don’t you just have a color chip library where the variants for each colour are bundled together so you can fan them out, pick a colour and spray? I know you have a color chip library , but you have to go to 4 different decks to get all the variants, and they spray out WAY different than the chips, useless . You put all your eggs in one basket with this piece of technocrap camera , this gimmick has failed me so many times that I don’t even use it anymore, I’ll spray standard variant and tint rather than use this piece of garbage.
Sounds to me like you have personal issues with this product line. Maybe your the problem!!! I've sprayed Sikkens products for years as well as PPG, Dupont, Sherwin etc. Sikkens (I shoot Lesonal) has been great for me. Better than the others I listed above. I have the camera and the chips. Never have a problem color matching.
Camera actually works just need to have make extra time do shot and second correction. In my opinion just have to be open it minded and actually try it out. I’m new to Sikkens and actually think is great paint
No I wouldn’t , one thing to consider is that all paint reps are liars, salesmen, they will promise the world and deliver garbage. If you are going to use auto wave make sure your painter is exceptionally gifted at tinting colours . The sikkens database is full of poorly matching garbage , therefore their colour camera refers to poorly matching garbage every time.

Also sprayed Ppg and Axalta. Sikkens is by far the superior paint line. Easy to use and extremely good color matches. Don’t get me wrong. Like all paint lines they have some colors that are off but nothing you can’t tint in 5 min. I’m sorry this guy had a bad experience but it’s not like that
