+rhonda thompson It would be very hard. DOOL & B & B are all owned by Sony that also own the rights to Y & R. General Hospital is owned by Disney since it's on ABC to people who are notorious for long memories.
I think that "Thank You David" was one of her best catchphrases. In the UK a Lady Cheryl Ann Tweedy of The Girlband Girls Aloud would say that to the Guitar Player also named "David". She would have been perfect on a UK Show calle "You Can't Fire Me, I'm Famous!" where Celebrities go on and talk about how hard it was after they got let go. Julie Goodyear from Coronation Street 1970-1995 or even Donny Osmond. She could have also talked to Jessie Wallace who played Kat Slater on Eastenders on and off from 2000 to now and had to go away to treat her addiction to Alcohol.
The problem with the Young and the Restless is that they do not have interesting storylines but it still has potential. Perhaps Diane Jenkins could provide a good storyline. They could bring back Brenda Dickson. Maybe she could have a really good storyline with Victor. Her character would not be Jill or maybe it could be Jill with Jess Walton to quit finally. Well there are many storylines she could do.
@@jefferyjones1357 both ladies played the role but had a different take on the character...one thing for sure they both played a manipulative man eating Jill...
What I will never understand is how good her acting was in the beginning to how it turned out to be later. Yes this was campy and messy and I cant watch enough of it but Brenda Dickson LITERALLY played nothing else of note after this role. In this scene it feels like her emotions weren't aligned with the words she was spouting. She sounds so wooden.
I remember when Y&R first came on the air, Jill was nice, and she was beautiful. I never liked this version of the character...too campy and mean. Apparently, she was directed to play the character like this. It was a jolt to see her change so dramatically between the mid-70’s and early 80’s. She went from being my favorite character to my least favorite.

Most badass soap opera woman ever
she was very glamouros on the show
Yes she was during the 70's and 80's. Unfortunately, all those plastic surgeries she had done are just awful. The blond hair is unnatural too.
@@mainecoon6514 yea i seen her now looks washed out 😂
damn one of these soaps needs to hire this lady damn she can act her ass off love you brenda dickson

they need to get over it already
Those 2 were perfect for each other. Both had evil minds, and would have made a great storyline.
The genesis of the "Rex Sterling" plot.
Fox Crane and her planting seeds of evil into David's head. I would have loved to see this Jill go up against evil David Kimble.
Brenda Dickson is long gone from this show. SHE WAS THE BEST DRESSED UNDRESSED.

I still think of you when I think of Jill! Can't get used to the "new" one!
Brenda Dickson was the original Jill and she played her so well.
Me either Jess Walton Never Could play Jill Right

Nicholas Yaekle she’s not new she’s been playing Jill for about 30 years now
jeffery jones she plays Jill better then Brenda
When soaps were good!!!! 👍🏼😁
Damn good.
2021, Still missing the Original Jill Foster. Sex Appeal, and she played that role.
I missed her and Terry Lester as Jack Abbott. May he rest in peace...
Didn't she wear this dress to receive her award for Best Villainess?
kraftymomma1979 yes she did.
That was Brenda's own clothes she had written in her contract to have for her character...
That dress fits her. And I don't mean that in a bad , negative way.

Well, hello Mrs. Claus.
I just can't get it off my (chest) mind...
That’s Jill ! Cunning.
Michael Corbett is still a good looking man.

Y&R isn't this good anymore....No Jill No Easter and the theme music isn't as gripping as it was.....In the 80s'
