Thanks for all the great content for the past couple years man. Thanks to you my e revo is a beast. Took it full speed off a half pipe several times over the past few days and had some other pretty rough bash sessions to start the year and so far, 0 problems.
@@outsourcedrc you’ve helped a ton of people man, pretty sure you were the first person to try the limiting straps and now they’re a staple in everyone’s e revo
I always seem to struggle when I redo shock oil. Thank you for explaining it the way you did. I never put it together that the little rubber diaphragm at the top compressed. The pressing of the shaft halfway up and then tightening down and trying is a good gauge to get the proper amount of shock oil in there
That newest version of the rlaarlo 1/14 brushless that is this chassis is pretty sweet . It’s been on sale here and there . For $120 it’s been really fun . It came with a nice dumbo remote which impressed me . These 141001 RC cars are classics . I hope they stick around like spyderco knives and Benchmade keep making the same design over and over and over again with quality improvements is the best way to go imho . Dial it in and make it good is what I say
I joined your Patreon tonight. You are one of my top RC youtuber guys. You responded to my comments often. I also put a deposit on the 6s Typhon today. Also my assistant name is Jorge Garcia, I’m not sure how he would feel about a Jorge Carcia car. I also had a couple of Jack and cokes tonight.
When you add the fresh oil, where is the piston positioned - is it fully extended, halfway or compressed all the way? I’ve watched several different channels to learn about refilling these RC shocks but no one ever mentions how the piston is best positioned when adding the new oil. 🧐Thanks. I appreciate.
Hello, I understand that by opening a little and pushing the piston of the shock absorbers is it so that the excess silicone and air comes out of there ?... is correct .....After you did that, you put more oil on it to the brim and the piston halfway up ? and repeat the proces ?... Thanks.
Love your videos! Question- how is your esc setup to do braking/reversing? I just got one of these, and I noticed there isn’t a middle ground brake, just forward and backwards. Any concerns for reliability? Or is yours any different?
any tips/links/vids from shocks that fill from the bottom? i have a losi mini t2.0 and they open at the bottom, No piston to bleed,, How do bottom shocks get refilled and bleeded? tnkss
Oh man I just picked up a 2021 Tmaxx I am super excited to break it in Was running my original 2.5 & 3.3 & they still run great, but I just wanted a new one to add to our growing fleet of a new Xmaxx, Hoss, original LST & LST 2. Electric is great, but for me that nitro sound is just awesome! Sorry, wanted to share the news A Subscriber
Awesome video, best explanation and walkthrough on the internet! When i fill my shocks it compresses and rebounds well, but it doesnt extend quite ALL the way. Its close, so close, but not all the way. Is it not enough oil?! I filled to the top? Thanks so much
Salutations sportives. Maks
What do you think about the kyosho Inferno neo 3.0 ve I was thinking of getting one for the Great handling performance. But any way love the Channel keep on keeping on.
I dont know anything about it. I see them at the hobby shop and I would have gotten one if I didnt get the Typhon instead. Thanks! I'm glad you like the channel!
@@outsourcedrc yah the typhon is badass. That thing is a rocket my buddy got one and I ended up getting the kyosho neo 3.0 ve and yah in a straight line he gets me every time but but don’t get me wrong am right at his tail. Lol but in a track run I win every time. That thing can take some turns on a dime plus smooth landings.
Yea didn’t hear that. Hopefully like Ford and the Mustang Traxxas never stops making the nitro Tmaxx. I mean that is the vehicle that really got all of this going. It’s messier than electric, but that nitro sound is like hearing the naturally aspirated Coyote V8 growl. Ok maybe not as good as the Mustang’s V8 and exhaust not, but still pretty dam awesome....lol
Its not just the weight of the oil. Its the piston in the shock also. 60wt is what everyone is saying goes well in these shocks, so its a good starting point.
@@outsourcedrc Hey, I was a believer in Badlands on an Xmaxx 8S, However I ran brand new 8S stock wheels and tires for the first time today! I LOVE THEM!! I bought my Xmaxx 8S used, so It only came with badlands. Traxxas was nice enough to send me brand new wheels and tires for my Xmaxx “Yeah Crazy right! $125 in tires for free lol. So, I finally ran them today. And the first thing I tried was sliding my xmaxx! I was accelerating, I turned and hit the brake to slide just as you showed us, I learned that from your video. I LOVE THE XMAXX STOCK TIRES. So your right buddy! They are amazing! The badlands are cool. But honestly, I’m gonna sell them as used, and get another set of brand new stock wheels and tires as backups. I felt like I had to share this comment with you man!
Wltoys screw are super week. Good car though. The 124019 is way better even though it’s almost the same. The longer chassis makes a big difference. Waiting for the 104001. That will be a monster
Hey. I don't know if you see this message. But how much W/cst on the oil should i use on a 1/14 basher? I am gonna use this type of shocks. Now it's just shocks without oil:) The cars name is sweep pro from temu. Nice video btw..:)
Hey bud just done 1 shock and the oil is clear filled to top put lid on and the piston when pushed in only comes out 4-5mm not very far is that a good result? It retracts 4-5mm not alot
Actually you're bleeding the air out of the oil if had bleeder screw you do same method you're showing, few times you push air out till you have oil . Exactly what you had as result was spot on the shaft should come down on its own. Nice 👌 driving 🚗 👌
Oh also the pressure of oil and passing through holes in piston , the disc connected to shaft determines the dampening. Thicker oil slower dampening vise versa
I came for the rc cars and stayed for the nature video!😂
You could totally make a backyard RC Lawndart game with a few of those and some scraps!
I got one myself with your link. Glad it helps the channel.
Thanks so much! I hope you like it as much as I do!

You need to push it all the way. Its hydro locking
