Masjid Qiblatain
(Mosque of the Two Qiblas).
It is historically important to Muslims as the place is where the revelation of the Quran came to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) to change the direction of the Qibla (Direction of Prayer) from Bait-ul-Muqaddas (Al Aqsa Mosque) in Jerusalem to the Kaaba in Mecca.
During Dhuhr prayer (or it was said that it was Asar), the Prophet (S.A.W) received the Quranic revelation [Surah al- Baqarah: 144].
The entire congregation turned around North to South towards the new Qibla.
