The cancer was removed from the clubhouse (Javy) and they committed to the talent they already had in the organization and gave Sweeney an opportunity to prove he could carry the load at short. I think their coaching staff has done a remarkable job of getting these guys to perform consistently, especially the pitching staff. We could use more timely hitting but I like what I see.
After listening to Mike I decided to purchase my pimp chalice. You may now call me Satin Armstrong, because my stable of pitchers are smoother than silk.
I think this is a great situation, but I don’t want owner to think status quo is okay in this upcoming offseason. We must bring in bats this offseason. NO MORE BEING CHEAP.
I'm just still see/hear Valenti ranting a couple of months ago...LOL. I'm taking it one day at a time..But especially if Jobe is as good as we know he can be? They can go to the World Series.
After I saw that the Tigers won today and the fact that they are playing great baseball, I let my mind wander at the possibilities ahead. World Series did in fact enter my thoughts. Go Tigers!
It's also a team that could easily lose 1-0 three straight times. The offense isn't consistent enough to be reliable. Nothing is a lock when you're this 1-dimensional, imo.
@@jayclean5653 I understand what you are saying and agree, they do need to be more consistent. However, the playoffs are a different animal in which a young team, who needs little to get going as far as getting ready for the moment can easily ride the excitement of it all for an overachieving run. Sometimes all you need is a chip and chair. 2004 Pistons proved that.
It's time to put Detroit Sports back on the map. I fully expect more than two championships across the 4 sports between now and 2030. We are a big sports market. It's time to start acting like it again.
This show is so predictable. Always going with the extremes to stir things up. Tomorrow Valenti will tell us why he thinks the Tigers can go all the way to the World Series watch. Only 3 months ago he told us that Riley Greene was the only Tiger hitter that would be in the lineup on other teams and also that they should trade Skubal since they won't be contenders in the next couple years.
This teams offense isn't good enough to be "mortal locks." This isn't the 2019 Astros. This is an incredibly 1-dimensional team that's gotten extremely lucky.
@@jayclean5653 it's a long season it's not our fault. We were down bad in the first half and they're down bad in the second half. Did you call it luck when they were winning in the first half?

I want the Astros!!! I want Hinch to kick the butts of the team that basically threw him under the bus and cost him a 1 year ban from MLB; while none of their big name players like Altuve, Correa, and Verlander basically got away with cheating.
Actually that's not true. If they go 0-5, the Twins need to go 2-3, the Mariners need to go 3-2, or the Red Sox 4-0. Obviously very unlikely, but they aren't out at 0-5.
Right? We had like 4 cy young pitchers on the same team plus the best batter in the league in Miggy and a very good bat in JD martinez and couldn't get it done.
