Wait, this is the first time I encounter a "real vtuber voice" that isn't just a meme. It's hard to believe that she is actually making a voice for the whole duration of her streams.
It's certainly a talent and a craft. Grimmi, over on Twitch, is a voice actress, and one of her schticks is that she'll slip in and out of different voices on stream. And she does it so effortlessly and naturally it's impossible to tell which, if any, is her real one. Streaming while doing a voice is endurance voice acting and definitely an impressive skill.
The main ones I can think of that particularly do so (beyond simply "performance voice") would probably be Matsuri, Polka, and Luna of Hololive (whose normal speaking voices sound a fair bit different, though you still do see their normal voices on stream occasionally).
i mean she's stayed in her streaming voice despite laughing so hard she started wheezing and gasping for air and when she stumbled during the copypasta her streamer voice came back so whatever, that voice is real enough to me.
Most people have different voices they can comfortably use, they're just not given instructions to access them. My default voice used to be low and would strain if I talked at length. Then I switched to a head voice. They're both real.

YOOO I FOUND ANOTHER ONE I only found out during presentations and talking to people, i think my brain never heard enough of my post puberty voice so it still reverts to high pitched for inner thoughts
The problem is much of our generation is out of touch and absolutely deprived of love. If you're male, i'd figure you don't have much contact with people, and there is 2/3 chances that you're single. Vtubers, no matter the gender, open up about their insecurities and lives, wich gives you this sensation of intimacy that should exist in a close relationship with someone. If you do not have a lot of friends, you'll start to become emotionally dependant on people you don't know for your social needs. At least that's how i perceive it.
I'm desensitized to it because people like Pikamee and Lilypichu actually _are_ that high-pitched. I think Pikamee faked a deeper voice for a bit before giving up on it.
I don't think it's her "real" voice, when she starts reciting the naval seal copypasta she did break to her higher voice. She did mention she hated her regular voice and that her lower pitch voice is her 'Official work' mode. It's definitively similar to Tenma (with her 20ma and 30ma). As a random example I default to a higher pitch voice because I loved my child singing voice (before puberty) but I'm pretty sure I can have a low (more normal) voice if I practice hard enough.
I rwmenber how another woicevactor stunned people when started to speak in low voice, I think on stream, then started speaking in briish. Freaking shape shifters :D Sadly sometimes it hurts to do the voices for long. Default sqeeky toy voice not optimized for mommy sounding :D
I'm not a VA, but I change up my voice often when playing games on Steam with strangers (just for grins). I have some people in my Friend list that think I'm Russian. Some think I'm Italian. Some think I Creole. Some think I'm from Boston (never been there). I just like to change it up. Played a few dozen games in Phasmophobia with a friend who was absolutely convinced I was Russian until one day I just changed it up mid-game and used a different voice. Most all of them have been shocked when I tell them that I'm actually from Northern Indiana and don't have any accent at all. Being able to change your voice up can be quite fun if you like to mess with people...

Not necessarily talking, so I never developed good talking skills. One of my friends is Pashtun, and his english sounds exactly like an American's. Another friend (Egyptian) speaks english with a Slavic/Russian accent.

I am frustrated with myself cause i keep getting tricked by vtubers cute childlike voices and they always turn out to be fake voices but every single time I never see it coming and am so shocked to learn it was fake.
