    1st time bird owner here who lives in a apartment and got a Linnie 4 weeks ago. I can confirm they are lovely little pets who aren't very noisy and enjoy spending time with you

    My Linnie is literally the sweetest bird I have ever handled. So underrated!

    Linnies are so cute. I can’t believe they aren’t more popular. I think all birds are messy. I tell people to be prepared to sweep and vacuum multiple times a day. You’ll also have to give fresh clean water in a clean bowl throughout the day. It’s all worth it to me.

      Such good points- especially the water dish!

    Love your linnie! I have a question: Do they poop as often as budgies? Ours poop about every 7-10 minutes? Please can you tell me exactly how you cope with the poop? What is the best way? Can you advise? Lord willing, I want to buy a linnie for my disabled adult son, but I wonder how best he could manage the poop, without help, if he is alone to deal with it himself - in future?

      @@ParrotBlissThanks so much! We love our budgies but my son who’s disabled and autistic adore them but he longs to stroke & they tell him off! Ours can communicate very well! One nipped (he doesn’t bite) him to remind him: no no no no fingers, mate! If only we have a third to hang out with him & who could let him stroke? So, thanks! Our 21-year old son is very loving & caring but intellectually disabled. Thanks so much! PS Edit: we are not from the States; we live in Greater London, United Kingdom. :)

    My current linnie is 11.5 years old and I am lucky to still have her. She has arthritis in her feet so I have had to arrange her cage and perches for a disabled bird. She is my best friend and I dread the day that she passes away. I have checked and there are very few linnies available here in the US. And they are very expensive. At least $500.

      How great that you are adjusting her cage for her. I have a few birds whose cages are adjusted as well.
      What state do you live in? Yes, Linnie’s are rare and expensive. I currently have babies available, but I am in Florida. I think linnies are just wonderful birds, I can understand why she is your best friend.

    Hi, I want to get a bird in the future and I'm just wondering if you have any bird breed recommendations for me as I have a hearing sensitivity. I can't deal with high pitched screeching or squawking- but I've always loved birds and I'm wracking my brain trying to find a breed that will be alright with that one sensitivity.. The "Linnie" Seems to be the first breed I've seen/heard that's not super loud pitched, just from watching your video's! Anyways, these video's are amazing and Informative, Thank you for making them! You have such gorgeous birds! ^^

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  6 місяців тому +3

      Your sensitivity does pose a challenge. Try seeing if some smaller birds, like Parrotlets or Linnies- or Budgies and Cockatiesl work for you.
      Otherwise, it's tought. They are notorious for their sqwack, which is often a high pitch.
