    Another useful combat tech is,when you double tap forward towards an enemy and then tap the sword button,the Prince will do his knockdown attack,which will knockout the enemy,even if you didn't damage him at all,but if the enemy blocks the attack,then you can do the combination again to knock him out and then retrieve it.

      That is super useful, I'll practice it and put it in next video (Enemy Types). I had seen people doing it but didn't know how. I tried single-taps like a dumbass but obviously nothing happened. Good to know, weird input. :P

      You're welcome! I think the entire World of Assassination trilogy is looking amazing and I'm looking forward to playing them all in Hitman 3's engine when I get some more time available. I am _super_ excited for their James Bond game, I think they're the perfect fit for one.
      A lot of existing James Bond games were released as part of the Shooter genre, and while James Bond does use guns on occasion, I think Stealth is a _far_ better fit for that character and series. I think it's gonna be a great game.

    The trick to get the "max wallrun" consistently is have some space from the wall then start wallrunning from there (instead of doing it form hugging the wall), for example doing it that way makes that tiny skip at the very start of the game 100% consistent.

    One addition for the combat section:
    You can do a "power attack" by double tapping a movement key towards a enemy and then attack, you will do the same attack animation the Prince does when attacking a slumped enemy. This is usually a 1hit knockdown if the enemy doesn't block it. It's handy to combine it with a normal attack or blocking an enemy attack and then power attacking them.

    • @LeoKRogue

    Nice. I think i played on of the Prince of Persia games (i think it was Warrior Within) but i cant remember, it was long ago and i was a kid, but i am excited for the remake. Hopefully, they will include some parkour elements from classic AC games, while not removing the cool things from the original

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  3 роки тому

      By definition, Prince of Persia already has most of the parkour elements from classic Assassin's Creed, in addition to _more_ on top of them. Assassin's Creed tended to remove actions, with very few new ones added. The only major things missing from Prince of Persia are Automation (which the game doesn't need since it's about the challenge of combo'ing movement actions together manually) and Normal Climbing (which the game also doesn't need since it would slow it down too much). Side Ejects are also not a thing in PoP since they would break a lot of the navigation puzzles.
      Everything else, PoP and Classic AC usually share between them. Back Ejects, Beams, Bar-Swings, Wallruns, Rolls, it's all there and it feels great. ^__^

    In the remake I hope they add cut content like the lion/tiger sand monsters as they were meant to be added in the zoo level.
    If they are added I hope they’re fun because I didn’t enjoy the lion enemies in warrior within and two thrones.
    If the trophy list is real then I doubt cut content will be added which will be a massive disappointment cause a walkthrough of sands of time is about 3-4 hours.

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  3 роки тому +1

      Adding cut content is a very big gamble and risk that I'm not sure would pay off. Those cut Tiger enemies are an unproven feature, as you said, the only real quadrupeds the series has had have been the dogs from WW and TT, and those enemies have always been unpleasant to fight, without exception.
      I'm actually quite happy if we don't get much cut content restored (except for, hopefully, a longer Vizier fight since the first one was clearly the victim of time-constraints). Resident Evil games are roughly two hours long if you know what you're doing on a fast playthrough and I have 200 hours in Resident Evil 2 Remake simply because of what a joy it is to replay over and over again.
      Prince of Persia doesn't need to be a long game to be enjoyable.
      I think players are tired of every game trying to be this 100-hour open world nowadays, so something shorter and more bite-sized would be preferable to me.

  • @RodZombie
    @RodZombie 3 роки тому

    If the remake is successful, do you think this would make Ubisoft keen to remake the first Assassin's Creed as well?

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  3 роки тому +1

      Short answer, yes, but not right now. AC1 Remake will come, but way later.
      Long answer is as follows;
      Sands of Time is seen as a legendary masterpiece to this day, it's a game with a lot of positive associations. Assassin's Creed 1 doesn't have this kind of prestige, even back when it was at its peak, a lot of the general gaming public treated it as a 'tech demo' and didn't appreciate its 'rhythm' (repetition). Even fewer people appreciated the Present Day setting and narrative.
      So, what would this mean for an Assassin's Creed 1 Remake?
      It would mean the game has to be very different from Assassin's Creed 1 in order to appeal to today's players. Doing so would irritate the small but vocal group of people who really love AC1 already, and it wouldn't strike Ubisoft as very necessary either, since they're _already_ making Assassin's Creed games that are attractive to AC's new player-base. (Odyssey and Valhalla are the most successful games in the entire franchise's lifespan.)
      Basically with AC1 Remake they have two choices; be faithful to the original, but end up turning away a lot of the new audience they built up with Odyssey and Valhalla, or spend resources remaking AC1 in the image of these new games while irritating its existing fans and _not guaranteeing_ Odyssey/Valhalla players 'hook onto' the Assassin vibes of the classic story.
      I don't know, from where I'm standing, it just doesn't seem like now is the right time.
      I fully believe an AC1 Remake is inevitable, but not right now, not nowadays. They have no reason not to focus on just making more of what they're already making. Letting other studios they own work on Prince of Persia remakes meanwhile is totally fine, because PoP are smaller, shorter, more focused, linear games with less complexity (not on the player's end, but on the developer's -- PoP has fewer scripts, fewer assets, fewer everything to keep track of than a main AC game does).

    • @RodZombie
      @RodZombie 3 роки тому

      @@LeoKRogue That's true, there's so many variables to what could be done with an AC 1 remake. Hopefully, if the Sands of Time remake is successful then we'll get an actual new entry in the franchise. I've been a PoP fan since playing the Super Nintendo version of the original as a kid and would love to see the franchise see a massive resurgence.

    Thanks i'm playing through the game now and this is helpful.
    can you clear something up for me, the way the game explains this is very confusing, according to the game you get a new thing (sand slot?move?) every 16 retrievals and that enemy retrievals and hidden sand bubble retrievals are the same, meaning you need to get all hidden sand bubbles + enemy sand for a 100% game, is this correct or is only the sand bubbles important?
    i'm asking because 2 enemies dropped down for me in the observatory and i saved, also it is unclear if the time freeze ultimate move actually gets the enemy sand

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  Рік тому +1

      I think you need both. Megafreeze does not get the enemy's sand, it works exactly the same as using the Stab / Restraint and then cutting them in half. That's why I recommend ending a Megafreeze with uppercuts, but then letting time resume and retrieving everyone once they're on the ground. Lets you continue the fight with a bit more sand.

    is there gonna be a Ac marathon this year?

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  3 роки тому

      The AC Marathon is run by the AC Marathon Team who I'm unaffiliated with (other than just being friends with them :P) What determines whether a Marathon happens or not is whether Ubisoft announces a game, since it's always scheduled to End on the day that the latest game Releases. The short answer is that I don't know, and I'm waiting for an announcement from the team.
      That said, I might still run through AC1-Origins myself just for fun.

    Oh god I completely forgot the remake was a thing
    I'm glad PoP is finally getting some attention but that was yikes

      I think delaying it to focus on improvements was the right decision. I still really want to play that game, and see it be the best game it can possibly be.

      @@LeoKRogue Definitely. I was mainly upset by the visual quality of it because of how iconic and important Sands of Time should be to Ubisoft. It really jump started their modern success.
      At least them choosing to delay it shows that they heard the fans, and aren't going to try just cranking it out for that cash.

    My Country is getting hate because of the Remake, but the team should take the criticism and do the best to fulfill the needs of gamers
    Edit, are u playing in win 10

      I think India is a beautiful country and its people work really hard. I know that team was just doing their best.
      Especially the *environments* I saw, gorgeous. Farah's new character model and voice actress, I like as well. Only the faces and some of the special effects, on Sand were really iffy for me, personally.
      I have rewatched that trailer many times since replaying the original and keep finding cool new stuff that I appreciate, about the redone environments (the Observatory, the Azad Defense System, the Prison etc)
      The fact that they love and respect the original game _so much_ that most of the traps are in the exact same places and are dodged the exact same way, warms my heart. I know a lot of my Indian friends grew up playing Sands of Time and it's a game that's very reminiscent of their childhoods - this is a memory we share, and I think we all just want this to be the best game possible since we love it so much ^__^
      I am playing on Windows 10, yes, with the Peixoto patch.

    How do you launch enemies?

      Stab them with the dagger, then hit them with your sword only once, not a second time.

    Can't wait for the remake to be way simpler than the original so everyone studied for nothing :D

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  3 роки тому

      Unless they rip out everything they did and showed in that Trailer they showed for it, that is happily very unlikely since what I saw in it is basically 1:1 recreations of level designs from the original, down to the exact trap placements and movements required to dodge them. 's cool. That _and_ the leaked trophy list all being possible in the original is, again, a very good sign.
