It makes sense because whatever they did before they both we're never 100% sober and doing it intentionally. They would tease each other knowing it's going nowhere. These scenes though were like mini vents in a volcano where they could release some of the pressure. If things became awkward they could hide behind the work excuse and deflect that way. While it was technical it just confirmed what P'Fa said about never stepping out of line and being respectful with Charlotte when she was in control of her facilities. I mean look at when they're out of the pool scene P'Fa natural reaction was to stand at parade rest when Char is being the aggressor in any form even if it's under direction. She doesn't want anything to compromise the safe space she established for Charlotte to explore. In that moment it would have seemed more natural for P'Fa to rest her hands gently on Chars hips. It also confirmed what I said about Freen and Becky they have been together since SCOY mid filming to ending but have been in the going steady phase due to Becky being so young and their age gap. By the time they filmed their love scenes in Gap they knew each other intimately enough that they felt confident and comfortable. P'Fa said she took 2 shots before shooting the pool scenes 1 because the water was cold and 2 to help her loosen up because she was being stiff. She expressed being proud because she's not an actor and was worried it would look bad. Both her and Char really should be credited more because they did a fantastic job acting in this series. Char especially because you can see she's a method actor she rarely breaks character once she's in her head space. I wonder what order they filmed these intimate scenes in because the behind the scenes show them getting more physically comfortable with each other that's not just in a surface level. I can now see why they feel so comfortable being physically demonstrative now.
