As we proudly celebrate 75 years of nursing leadership, the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is delighted to present the return of the Let's Talk Leadership series in 2024. The series highlights high-profile leaders, who share their triumphs and invaluable lessons learnt.
In the lead-up to the ACT elections, the significance of informed health leadership cannot be overstated. It gave us great pleasure to announce the ACT Minister for Health Rachel Stephen-Smith MLA, a beacon of healthcare advocacy and reform, as our guest in what was an enlightening evening.
Elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly in 2016 and a seasoned veteran in public policy, Rachel's insights are particularly valuable as we navigate the challenges and opportunities facing the ACT Nursing workforce ahead of the elections. Her commitment to health, family, and community services, combined with her support for nurse-led initiatives, makes her an instrumental figure in driving progressive changes within our sector.
