As an alum, class of 1958, this has many mesmerizing moments. I even spied my favorite chair to sit in as I studied in the library. I would not have imagined I would see it again some 65 years later. Thank you for screening!
No problem. Glad you like the video!
I graduated in 1972. Intense, intense memories via this film. A story that is all so very true. If you love urbanity, go to Harvard, Penn, Columbia, or even Penn. But if you crave the out-of-doors, a small student body (only about 3000 when I was there), a more northerly clime, and academics bar none, then Hanover may be for you. It was for me. BTW, it is L-ee-a-zar/zah (the latter if from New England) Wheelock.
PS The quarter system is intense. Learning and due dates at a very rapid pace. But but....my three terms of freshman year French were considered the equivalent of four semesters of language elsewhere. (After that year, I was recruited to major in French. I chose Geography instead. I still wonder what would life have been if French had been my future.....)
I 💚 this college, and I really wanna go here; the library reminds me of the slitheryn common room
This is amazing! Better than an actual college tour, thank you so much!
Thanks, glad you liked the video! Hopefully it will be helpful when making your college decision.
This is one of the best college tour videos around!! Rusty you should really do more of these. Very professionally done. Great info and insight. Very helpful for seeing colleges for our high school junior.
Glad you liked the video. Wish I could do more but lost money doing this one so it is unlikely.
I thought I was watching a documentary on TV. That’s how good your video is.
@@zogloid Thanks! It was just created by me, my brother (who graduated from Dartmouth) and our mother.
Best college review around!
Thanks, glad you like the video!
This should have a million views. Thank you so much for this
Glad you liked the video. I think it is a must watch for anyone planning on attending Dartmouth.
Excellent work! I wish other online college tours were this detailed, but most that are available on this site are pretty shallow. You really get a vivid sense of location, atmosphere, history, and culture through this video.
Thanks. I try to be as detailed as I can with everything I do. I hope to do more college videos in the future but not sure it will be possible.
He nailed it. I know. I'm class of '72. :)
I plan to go here for medical school. I love it

Thayer dining hall is no longer running. I'm surprised this is so out of date considering when it was uploaded
This was filmed and edited in 2010. I only recently put the whole thing on UA-cam.
Same building. Remodeled. Now called Class of 1953 Commons as of 2011. Or '53 Commons. Great dining. Among the best college dining in the US.
Ray Suozzi
How is the cheerleading program?
Well I know they have one! Beyond that I have no idea. Maybe I should do a followup to find out?
Used to sell yall coke and eat at EBA's aaaaaay
Sadly it reminds me of Robert Tulloch and James Parker, but it looks great tho
Ray Suo is laid b. But, he goes too far! We are having thunder and lightning.
Students play ping pong and take a beer from beer farm?
Middle of nowhere lol
True. I grew up in Grafton New Hampshire which is like 20 miles more east. Hanover isn't a city, it's a village. Nowhere in New Hampshire is that big. Live Freeze then die
I-89 and I-91 have much, much reduced the isolation. I-89 was not even finished until after I graduated. Plus, Dartmouth is not like a UNH or Michigan State where the campuses empty due to kids going home for weekends. Hanover is its own little world. The isolation is not even noticed by most students, rather northern NH is their attraction. This is a major reason why DC is, in so many ways, the most unique Ivy school.
The guy doing the voice over for this vid can't even pronounce the world Congregationalist.
swissnor van zyl and you sir, can not even spell “word”. Check yourself
